POLICE BENEFIT FUND. The Board agrees to re-open the option to purchase the conversion of cadet/civilian service in the Police Benefit Fund (PBF) at NRA 65 to NRA 60 known as the Xxxxxxxxx II decision on the condition that there will be no cost to the Board or to the Municipality. A member enrolled in the PBF as of the date of ratification of this Collective Agreement who, in accordance with the Xxxxxxxxx decision obtained the right to purchase certain periods of credited service in the PBF shall have the option effective January 1st, 1991 of purchasing an additional period of credited service in the PBF (known as Xxxxxxxxx II) equal to all or part of the excess of the actual amount of cadet or civilian service served with the Metropolitan Toronto Police Service immediately prior to becoming a police officer, over the period of service available to be purchased in accordance with the Xxxxxxxxx decision. This purchase will be made by such member to the PBF, in bi-weekly payments during the period not exceeding one year commencing on January 1st, 1991 or in a lump sum payment for the full amount received on or before January 1st, 1991 equal in total to 13 per cent of the annual salary rate paid to him/her on the date he/she became a police officer multiplied by the years or part years of such additional period of credited service, together with interest compounded annually at 6 per cent per annum from the date he/she became a police officer to December 31st, 1982 and 8 per cent per annum from January 1st, 1983 to December 31st, 1983, then 7 per cent from January 1st, 1984 to the date it is entirely paid off. The member will be provided with an election form by August 1st, 1990 indicating the cost to the member to exercise the option set out above and asking if he/she does, or does not, wish to exercise this option. The member will return the completed election form to the Labour Relations office by October 1st, 1990 by prepaid registered mail or the internal mail system. For members electing to purchase the additional period as NRA 60 service payroll deductions will commence on the first pay period after January 1st, 1991 and continue for 26 consecutive pay periods.

Subject to approval by the Police Benefit Fund and actuary, the parties agree that the Fund by-laws will be amended to eliminate those contributions made by members in respect of the 25-year unreduced pension.

  • BENEFIT FUND The Trustees are authorized and directed to establish a study committee to review the legality, feasibility and desirability of setting up and maintaining an employee funded Section 125 Flexible Spending Account (FSA). If an FSA is determined to be legal, feasible and desirable in this context, the Trustees are further authorized and directed to establish such an arrangement and offer it to employees covered by this Agreement; provided that the FSA shall not be offered to employees of any Employer who is unwilling or unable to permit employee participation in the FSA.

  • Retirement Fund The sum of $ 7.90, May 1, 2019 (May 1, 2020 $8.07; May 1, 2021 $ 8.24) per paid hour; ex- cept that Apprentices starting after April 30, 1997 will have this amount pro-rated in ac- cordance with their term level;

  • Same Sex Benefit Coverage An employee who co-habits with a person of the same sex, and who promotes such person as a "spouse" (partner), and who has done so for a period of not less than twelve (12) months, will be eligible to have the person covered as a spouse for purposes of Medical, Extended Health, and Dental benefits.

  • Public Benefit It is Reaction Retail’s understanding that the commitments it has agreed to herein, and actions to be taken by Reaction Retail under this Settlement Agreement, would confer a significant benefit to the general public, as set forth in Code of Civil Procedure § 1021.5 and Cal. Admin. Code tit. 11, § 3201. As such, it is the intent of Reaction Retail that to the extent any other private party initiates an action alleging a violation of Proposition 65 with respect to Reaction Retail’s failure to provide a warning concerning exposure to DEHP prior to use of the Products it has manufactured, distributed, sold, or offered for sale in California, or will manufacture, distribute, sell, or offer for sale in California, such private party action would not confer a significant benefit on the general public as to those Products addressed in this Settlement Agreement, provided that Reaction Retail is in material compliance with this Settlement Agreement.

  • Maintaining Eligibility for Employer Contribution The employer's contribution continues as long as the employee remains on the payroll in an insurance eligible position. Employees who complete their regular school year assignment shall receive coverage through August 31.

  • Health Benefit Plan Par. 1. The Health Benefit Plan covering life insurance, sickness and accident benefits, and hospitalization insurance, or any changes thereto that are in accordance with the National Elevator Industry Health Benefit Plan and Declaration of Trust, shall be a part of this Agreement and adopted by all parties signatory thereto.

  • Oregon Public Service Retirement Plan Pension Program Members For purposes of this Section 2, “employee” means an employee who is employed by the State on or after August 29, 2003 and who is not eligible to receive benefits under ORS Chapter 238 for service with the State pursuant to Section 2 of Chapter 733, Oregon Laws 2003.

  • Retirement Plans In connection with the individual retirement accounts, simplified employee pension plans, rollover individual retirement plans, educational IRAs and XXXX individual retirement accounts (“XXX Plans”), 403(b) Plans and money purchase and profit sharing plans (collectively, the “Retirement Plans”) within the meaning of Section 408 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended (the “Code”) sponsored by a Fund for which contributions of the Fund’s shareholders (the “Participants”) are invested solely in Shares of the Fund, JHSS shall provide the following administrative services:

  • Defined Benefit Pension Plan 1. The Employer and the Union hereby agree to the continuation of the existing Northern California Glaziers, Architectural Metal and Glass Workers Pension Trust Agreement ("Defined Benefit Pension Trust").

  • REFUND OF UNEARNED COMPENSATION The Party of the Second Part agrees to refund the Party of the First Part any compensation received for which no services were rendered. TERMINATION: This contract may be terminated by either party pursuant to law. OTHER CONDITIONS: Any subsequent contracts shall supersede the provisions of this contract.
