POST Incentive. Effective December 19, 2005, employees who have satisfactorily attained the intermediate P.O.S.T. Certificate shall be compensated at a rate of two and one-half percent (2½%) above their base salary. Employees who have satisfactorily attained the advanced P.O.S.T. Certificate shall be compensated at a rate of five percent (5%) above their base salary.
POST Incentive. Effective May 8, 2006, employees who have satisfactorily attained a Management P.O.S.T. Certificate shall be compensated at a rate of five percent (5%) above their base salary. During the term of this MOU, incentive for Management P.O.S.T. shall be increased as outlined below: • Increase Management P.O.S.T from 5% to 7% effective July 11, 2022 • Increase Management P.O.S.T from 7% to 8% effective July 10, 2023 • Increase Management P.O.S.T from 8% to 9% effective July 8, 2024 • Increase Management P.O.S.T from 9% to 10% effective March 31, 2025. Effective May 6, 2007, any employee who is currently receiving an Intermediate or Advanced P.O.S.T. percentage incentive, as was delineated in the previous MOU for this unit (December 10, 2001 to December 19, 2004) shall cease to have that percentage paid to them. Effective March 13, 2017, Lieutenants who have a valid Supervisory P.O.S.T. Certificate are eligible to be compensated 5% above their base salary. Eligibility to receive the incentive will end within the pay period 2 ½ years after the date a Lieutenant was promoted if a valid P.O.S.T. Management Certificate has not been awarded by that date. A uniform allowance of $38.46 per pay period shall be provided for Sheriff’s and Correctional Lieutenants. The allowance will continue during periods of paid time off; however, the allowance will be discontinued when the entire pay period consists of dock time or other unpaid time off.
POST Incentive. Effective January 1, 2014, Bargaining Unit Members compensation shall be adjusted in the following manner:
4.11.1.1 Bargaining Unit Members POST Basic Certification: 4% increase to base pay
4.11.1.2 Bargaining Unit Members POST Intermediate Certification: 8% increase to base pay
4.11.1.3 Bargaining Unit Members POST Advanced Certification: 12% increase to base pay.
POST Incentive. Police officers who have received their POST Intermediate certificate shall receive a five percent (5.00%) POST incentive premium calculated upon their base pay, in accordance with the current practice. Police officers who have received their POST Advanced certificate shall receive a seven and one-half percent (7.50%) POST incentive premium calculated upon their base pay, in accordance with the current practice. Effective July 5, 2009, police officers who have received their POST Advanced certificate shall receive a ten percent (10.00%) POST incentive premium calculated upon their base pay.
POST Incentive. The City shall offer a POST incentive program for Police Department Employees with a maximum cumulative ceiling of 5% of base salary for the following certificates: Management 5 % Post Command College (or similar executive program) 2.5%
POST Incentive. 1. In order to qualify, an eligible applicant must have completed an Intermediate P.O.S.T. Certificate or an Advanced P.O.S.T. Certificate.
2. P.O.S.T. incentive will be credited in the first pay period reasonably available after submission of qualifying proof of formal education.

Increases to P.O.S.T Incentive shall be as follows: • Increase Intermediate P.O.S.T. from 2.5% to 4.5% effective January 9, 2023 • Increase Advanced P.O.S.T from 5% to 7% effective July 11, 2022 • Increase Advanced P.O.S.T from 7% to 8% effective July 10, 2023 • Increase Advanced P.O.S.T from 8% to 9% effective July 8, 2024 Effective March 31, 2025, employees who have satisfactorily attained the Supervisory P.O.S.T Certificate, shall be compensated at the rate of ten percent (10%) above their base salary.
POST Incentive. Additional incentives shall be paid to those officers achieving higher Nevada POST certificates:
1. Nevada Intermediate POST Certificate - $500 per year.
2. Nevada Advanced POST Certificate - $1,000 per year
3. Nevada Management POST Certificate - $1,500 per year.
a. Incentives will be paid in a separate check on the first payday in July of every year and shall be paid for the highest certificate only – not for more than one.
POST Incentive. Unit members who possess a Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) intermediate certificate shall receive a five percent (5%) premium in accordance with the current practice. Unit members who possess a Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) advanced certificate shall receive a ten percent (10%) premium in accordance with the current practice.
POST Incentive. Police officers who have received their POST Intermediate certificate shall receive a five percent (5.00%) POST incentive premium calculated upon their base pay, in accordance with the current practice. Police officers who have received their POST Advanced certificate shall receive a ten percent (10.00%) POST incentive premium calculated upon their base pay, in accordance with the current practice. While the City may assist the officer in determining POST certificate eligibility, the officer shall be responsible for submitting the proper paperwork in a timely fashion. POST incentive pay shall be effective on the first pay period in which the submittal by the employee has been accepted by the City. There shall be no retroactivity because the employee failed to file for either the intermediate or advanced certificate.
