POST Incentive. Effective December 19, 2005, employees who have satisfactorily attained the intermediate P.O.S.T. Certificate shall be compensated at a rate of two and one-half percent (2½%) above their base salary. Employees who have satisfactorily attained the advanced P.O.S.T. Certificate shall be compensated at a rate of five percent (5%) above their base salary.

POST Incentive. Police officers who have received their POST Intermediate certificate shall receive a five percent (5.00%) POST incentive premium calculated upon their base pay, in accordance with the current practice. Police officers who have received their POST Advanced certificate shall receive a seven and one-half percent (7.50%) POST incentive premium calculated upon their base pay, in accordance with the current practice. Effective July 5, 2009, police officers who have received their POST Advanced certificate shall receive a ten percent (10.00%) POST incentive premium calculated upon their base pay.
POST Incentive. Effective May 8, 2006, employees who have satisfactorily attained a Management P.O.S.T. Certificate shall be compensated at a rate of five percent (5%) above their base salary. During the term of this MOU, incentive for Management P.O.S.T. shall be increased as outlined below: • Increase Management P.O.S.T from 5% to 7% effective July 11, 2022 • Increase Management P.O.S.T from 7% to 8% effective July 10, 2023 • Increase Management P.O.S.T from 8% to 9% effective July 8, 2024 • Increase Management P.O.S.T from 9% to 10% effective March 31, 2025. Effective May 6, 2007, any employee who is currently receiving an Intermediate or Advanced P.O.S.T. percentage incentive, as was delineated in the previous MOU for this unit (December 10, 2001 to December 19, 2004) shall cease to have that percentage paid to them. Effective March 13, 2017, Lieutenants who have a valid Supervisory P.O.S.T. Certificate are eligible to be compensated 5% above their base salary. Eligibility to receive the incentive will end within the pay period 2 ½ years after the date a Lieutenant was promoted if a valid P.O.S.T. Management Certificate has not been awarded by that date. UNIFORM ALLOWANCE A uniform allowance of $38.46 per pay period shall be provided for Sheriff’s and Correctional Lieutenants. The allowance will continue during periods of paid time off; however, the allowance will be discontinued when the entire pay period consists of dock time or other unpaid time off.
