Premium Payment - Overtime. I-1 When full shifts, on a Unit, that incur overtime payment are offered, they will be offered within that Unit, by seniority first to full-time nurses on a rotating basis, then to regular part-time nurses on a rotating basis and then to casual part-time nurses on a rotating basis. However, the Hospital is not required to offer an opportunity to work overtime hours over the same period that a nurse has previously rejected an opportunity to work or if weekend premium is triggered. I-2 (Full-time and Regular Part-Time) Entitlement for all nurses to lieu time as provided for in Article 14.09 shall be scheduled at a mutually acceptable time but in any event shall be taken within the fiscal year unless mutually agreed otherwise. Nurses may accumulate to a maximum of thirty-seven point five (37.5) hours in his/her bank at any time.

Premium Payment - Overtime. (i) If an employee is authorized to work in excess of their normal daily tour (e.g. seven and one-half (7 ½) hours per shift or 11.25 hours per shift) or thirty-seven and one-half (37 ½) hours per week, they shall receive overtime payment at the rate of one and one-half (1 ½) times their regular straight time hourly rate of pay for time so worked. An employee may request time off in lieu of overtime subject to the approval of the Manager or designate. Such lieu time shall be limited to a maximum accumulation of thirty-seven and one-half (37 ½) hours at straight time. (ii) An employee who is required to work more than two (2) hours of overtime immediately following their scheduled hours of work or who has been called in to work in accordance with either Call Back or On-Call/Standby Premium of this Article and works at least four (4) hours, shall be reimbursed a maximum payment of four dollars ($4.00) upon providing the Hospital with a receipt for a meal on that tour of duty. (iii) Overtime shall be divided equitably amongst employees within their classification usually performing the work to be done. (iv) Overtime premiums shall not be pyramided with any other premium payable under this Agreement.

(iv) Overtime that falls outside of (iii), shall be first offered to full time employees within their classification usually performing the work, on the basis of rotating seniority prior to offering it to part time employees within their classification usually performing the work. Such shifts will be offered one at a time in accordance with this article. Employees who do not want to be offered overtime will indicate that in writing to Management or designate. (v) The Hospital agrees to utilize a tracking document/process that documents the order in which shifts are offered and accepted or denied. The tracking document will be made available upon request of the union. (vi) Overtime premiums shall not be pyramided with any other premium payable under this agreement.

  • Premium Payments If an employee with at least three years of service in the employ of the Shaker Heights Board of Education should exhaust his/her sick leave within the time specifications of this contract and is granted a leave of absence by the Board, the Board shall continue to pay his/her premiums in accordance with his/her work assignment for the following fringe benefits for a period not to exceed twelve (12) months. In the event of an emergency, authorization may not be required. 16.02 When an employee is required to work on a paid holiday or on a day for which she is entitled to receive time and one-half (1½) her regular straight time hourly rate and she is required to work additional hours in excess of her normal seven and one-half (7½) hour shift on that day, she shall receive two (2) times her regular straight time hourly rate for such additional hours worked. 16.03 If an employee reports for work at the regularly scheduled time and no work is available, such employee will be paid a minimum of four (4) hours pay at her regular straight time hourly rate, provided the employee has not previously received notification orally or in writing not to report. 16.04 Where call-in is requested within one-half (½) hour of the starting time of the shift and the employee commences work within one (1) hour of the call, then the employee will be paid as if the entire shift had been worked, provided she completes the shift for which she was called in. 16.05 It shall be the responsibility of the employee to consult the posted work schedule. Changes to the posted schedule required by the Employer shall be brought to the attention of the employee. Where less than twenty-four (24) hours' notice is given to the employee personally, the employee will be paid four (4) hours’ straight time wages or six (6) hours’ straight time wages if an extended tour. It is understood that call-ins or call-backs are not covered by this provision. 16.06 If an employee works two consecutive shifts she shall be provided a meal by the Employer, or if a meal cannot be provided she shall receive a meal allowance of five dollars ($5.00).

  • Interim Payments Interim payments may be made by Department, at its discretion, if the completion of deliverables to date have first been accepted in writing by Department's Grant Manager.

  • Payment of Liquidated Damages If you supply all or some of your milk to a third party during a Month you must, if required by DFMC, immediately pay to DFMC liquidated damages for that Month calculated as follows: $X = W cents x (Y – Z) Where: $X is the amount payable by you to DFMC for the relevant Month. If $X is a negative amount, no amount is payable by you. Y is the average monthly litres you have supplied to DFMC based on the 12 months immediately preceding the relevant Month (or in the event you have not supplied DFMC for 12 months, the average monthly litres you have supplied to DFMC during the period you have supplied DFMC). Z is the number of litres supplied to DFMC by you for the relevant Month.
