Scheduled Hours of Work. (a) An employee's scheduled hours of work shall not be construed as guaranteeing the employee minimum or maximum hours of work. (b) Except under unusual circumstances, an employee will be given five (5) days notice prior to any change in his normal scheduled starting time. (c) Except under unusual circumstances, if the regular scheduled hours of an employee are to be reduced, the employee shall be given five (5) days notice prior to the proposed change.

Scheduled Hours of Work. It is agreed by both parties that present incumbents on a 40 hour schedule shall remain on a 40 hour schedule. However, whenever a vacancy occurs on a job classification, it shall be posted and filled on a 37 1/2 hour scheduled basis. If a job classification is changed to a different labour grade, the incumbents on a 40 hour schedule shall remain on a 40 hour schedule. It is agreed between the parties that the Union may grieve under the grievance procedure the question as to whether a new or changed job is within the scope of the bargaining unit. Any reduction in the U.I.C. premium including the employee's portion received by the employer will be shared by using the employee portion to reduce the cost of our benefit package.

If an employee’s M day bank has not accumulated hours, top up may occur by transferring time from the following banks: annual vacation, banked overtime, banked statutory holidays. The banks to be used and the order of preference will be selected by the employee no later than the first pay period of the payroll years or as soon as is practicable thereafter for new employees. An employee’s M Day bank shall not have a negative balance. I M Days earned must be taken as time off as scheduled in the annual sign-up.

Scheduled Hours of Work. Regular Scheduled Hour of means the Employer provides a commitment to assign the employee for a determined number of hours over a period. In return the employee is committed to work these hours during the pay period. The parties to this agreement recognize the uniqueness of the Home Care Program and recognize the need for Regular Scheduled Hours of Work to assist in providing quality care. Notwithstanding Article Regular Scheduled Hours of Work provide an ongoing commitment to a minimum of either or hours determined by the Employer and assigned by the Resource Coordinator. Additional hours to a maximum of eighty (80) hours may be assigned to employees working regular scheduled hours of work subject to operational requirements. Scheduled Hours of Work. The Parties agree that this Letter of Understanding applies to employ- ees who hold the position of Mechanical Maintenance Assistant (LA5) within the bargaining unit. Notwithstanding Article 10, hours of work, Mechanical Maintenance Assistants will work Sundays when scheduled to do so in accordance with The Power Engineers Regulation of Alberta (Alberta Regulation 85/2003). Except in emergency situations or by mutual agreement between the employee and the employer, the Mechanical Maintenance Assistants will not be scheduled to work more than every other Sunday.
