Prohibition Against Employment While on Sick Leave Without Pay. Employees are prohibited from working in any other employment when on sick leave without pay unless, after considering the medical reason for the sick leave without pay, the appointing officer with the approval of the Human Resources Director, grants permission for the employee to engage in outside employment. Violators of this section are subject to disciplinary action.

  • Leave of Absence Without Pay A permanent employee may be granted unpaid leave either with the right to return or without the right to return. Exception: No paid leave of any kind will be granted an employee who is on suspension as discipline.
