PUBLIC OFFICES LEAVE. Any employee who is elected to public office or appointed to a public committee or commission may request from the Assistant Superintendent, Human Resources, a leave of absence without pay in order to discharge the duties of the office.

PUBLIC OFFICES LEAVE. A. Leave Without Pay will be granted by the BOARD at the request of any administrator elected or appointed to any governmental office. This leave, at the discretion of the District, may be granted for: the entire duration of the term of office, only for active periods of the office, or for an entire school year.

  • Public Office Leave (a) An Employer shall grant a leave of absence without pay upon the request of any Nurse to run as a candidate in a Federal, Provincial, or Municipal election. If the Nurse withdraws as a candidate or is an unsuccessful candidate, she/he is entitled to return to her or his former position without loss of benefits provided that the Nurse gives two (2) weeks notice to the Employer of her/his intent to return unless mutually agreed to a shorter notice period.

  • Unpaid Leave - Public Office Employees shall be granted unpaid leave of absence to enable them to run for elected public office and if elected, to serve their term(s) of office subject to the following provisions:

  • Xxxxx’s leave (1) An employee is entitled to use up to 10 days accrued personal leave each year to care for a member of his or her immediate family or a member of his or her household who is ill and requires his or her care. The employee is not entitled to take xxxxx’s leave for a particular period if another person has taken leave to care for the person for the same period.
