PURPOSE OF THE POLICY. The purpose of this policy is to restate and reaffirm that, according to Federal and State law and county policy, the county will take all reasonable steps to prevent, prohibit, and take appropriate action against harassment in the workplace. The policy also clarifies what constitutes harassment, and explains the procedures involved in investigating and resolving harassment complaints. This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including but not limited to, hiring, placement, promotion, disciplinary action, layoff, recall, transfer, leave of absence, compensation, and training.
