Rate of Compensation for Overtime Worked. All compensable overtime shall be paid at the rate designated above. Exceptions must be mutually agreed to. When compensatory time off is authorized in lieu of cash compensation, such compensatory time off shall be granted within twelve (12) months following the month in which the overtime was worked and without impairing the services rendered by the District. If the compensatory time has not been taken within twelve (12) months of the date on which it was earned, and mutual agreement not reached to extend the period, the District shall pay the employee in cash for all such time at the appropriate overtime rate based on the employee's current rate of pay.

Rate of Compensation for Overtime Worked. Each employee in the classified service (clerical, professional, or blue collar) who is required to work, during any one calendar week, in excess of either their normally scheduled workday or work week shall be compensated either by cash at the rate of one and one-half (1 1/2) times the amount of time worked as overtime, or by compensatory time off at the rate of one and one-half (1 1/2) times the amount of time worked as overtime, except where federal legislation regarding overtime compensation may preclude the exercise of this option.

  • Rate of Compensation In lieu of direct compensation for all overtime, shift work and standby (as defined in Articles 16, 17 and 18 of this Agreement), regular full-time employees shall receive a special compensation of 7% of their basic salary earned for each calendar year.
