Reforestation. The parties anticipate that reforestation requirements will be met through natural regeneration. Except as provided in Exhibit C (Logging Requirements), the STATE is responsible for all reforestation obligations required under applicable Laws. PURCHASER must take reasonable actions to facilitate natural regeneration, as described in the approved Operating Plan. Notwithstanding any of the above, PURCHASER is responsible for reforestation of areas where PURCHASER’s Timber Operations have materially damaged or impeded an area’s ability to naturally regenerate.
Reforestation. 23. (1) The Company shall reforest at its own expense all lands cut over by the Company under this Agreement to the required reforestation standard and shall describe its reforestation program in its forest management plans and annual operating plans.
Reforestation. Any operation involving seed management; seedling production; site preparation; tree planting; seeding; regeneration or reforestation surveying; stand cleaning; stand tending; stand thinning; tree improvement; fertilization; drainage; pruning or site analysis that is carried out in the course of forest renewal. For each managed stand yield stratum plus each operational stratum identified in an FMP, outlines the desired future forest condition and the series of harvest, reforestation and maintenance treatments expected to be followed in order to attain the desired outcome. Details the typical silviculture prescriptions to be implemented operationally in order to meet reforestation standards and create the desired future forest, and identifies strategies for minimizing the effects of site and climatic limitations on survival and productivity of seedlings. Previously referred to as the silviculture matrix.
Reforestation. Provision of technical advisory services and training, and acquisition of equipment and materials, for the implementation of reforestation activities, including establishment of land reserves for reforestation and development of opportunities for carbon sequestration activities.
Reforestation. The National Government and the FARC-EP invite anyone who may have taken part directly or indirectly in the conflict and who may have caused harm or injury at the time to take part in specific acts to ensure reparations under the comprehensive system.
5.1.3.3. Collective reparations at the end of the conflict
5.1.3.3.1. Reparations-based approach of Development Programmes with a Territorial-Based Focus (DPTFs)
5.1.3.3.2. Collective reparation plans with a territorial-based focus
5.1.3.3.3. National collective reparation plans
Reforestation. Regeneration is a critical element of sustainable forest management. Key considerations in reforestation planning include tree species diversity, genetic diversity, forest health and climate change. Reforestation of harvested areas is a legal obligation for the SQCF. During the site plan development stage, the prescribing forester will identify the biogeoclimatic zone/subzone/site series combinations found within the planned harvest area and will select a stocking standard to apply to the reforestation phases. The stocking standard will identify the desired species mix, distribution, density and timelines for monitoring and achieving the objectives defined by the applied standard, for successful reforestation. The overall reforestation objective is to maintain an ecologically suitable diversity of tree species compatible with the range of natural variability at the landscape level. The stocking standards to be applied within the SQCF are developed for the range of sites and conditions found across the license area. Where available, new information regarding the impact of climate change upon British Columbia’s forested ecosystems and implications for stocking standards will be taken into account. The overall objective for reforestation of harvested areas is to establish a healthy stand of trees which meet the height and density requirements for Free Growing (FG), within the timeline specified by the relevant stocking standard. SQCF will strive to plant all harvested areas within a maximum of one year from the date of harvest completion. Young seedlings may need to be protected from browsing by deer, and Roosevelt Elk, especially in the Mamquam and Stawamus drainages. It is recognized that this may increase reforestation costs. Following initial reforestation activities all replanted areas will be monitored on appropriate timelines to ensure regeneration success and that the objectives of reforestation defined by the assigned stocking standard are achieved. In consideration of First Nations cultural values, planting of western redcedar and yellow cedar will be prioritized where ecologically appropriate.
Reforestation. (1 ) Tolko shall reforest at its own expense
(a) all lands required for coniferous production (including incidental coniferous cut by the holder of a Deciduous Timber Allocation set out in Appendix “C”) as set out in the approved forest management plans, cut over by or on behalf of the Companies under this Agreement to the required reforestation standard and shall describe its reforestation program in the detailed forest management plan and annual operating plans; and
(b) those lands cut over by High Level Forest Products Ltd. and Tolko Industries Ltd. prior to the commencement date of this Agreement that comprise part of the forest management area, the reforestation of which was the responsibility of High Level Forest Products Ltd. and Tolko Industries Ltd. and that have not been recognized by the Minister as being satisfactorily regenerated and shall reforest those lands to the required reforestation standard and shall describe its reforestation program in its forest management plans and annual operating plans.
Reforestation. The reforestation will be undertaken. The REU will periodically check reforestation procedures against pre-established technical standards and procedures.
Reforestation. (Note: Applicable to property containing 40,000 or more square feet of land.) Buyer is hereby advised that if Buyer intends to apply for subdivision or site plan approval or a grading or sediment control permit upon the Property, applicable City or County law may require as a condition of such approval that Buyer submit plans acceptable to the City/County for establishing new tree cover, planting trees to replace forest which has been recently removed, and conserving the cutting and clearing of trees in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Reforestation. ANACAFE joined forces with the Dutch donor agency (Pur Project) in Huehuetenango to donate 66,637 hardwood trees (mahogany, cedar and hackberry ) for reforestation to benefit five RVCP producer groups. FEDECOCAGUA (coffee value chain) RVCP technicians from FEDECOCAGUA worked with producers to implement GAPs as a means to improve sustainability of international certifications for the coffee value chain. Compliance with the requirements for domestic or international certification is one of RVCP´s achievements as the result of growers focusing on good agricultural practices, good processing practices and good management practices. A total of 18 grower groups currently hold one or more certifications, including FAIRTRADE (FLO), XXX Certified, Starbucks Coffee Company C.A.F.E. Practices, Rainforest Alliance, NOP Organic, EU Organic and XXX Organic. The total area planted with multi-certified coffee equals 3,813.45 hectares with expected yields of 8,770,900 lbs. of parchment coffee. Seven co-ops that obtained Starbucks C.A.F.E. Practices certification attained the level of strategic status providing them with guaranteed bonuses of US$5 on every hundred-pound bag they export. FEDECOCAGUA technicians provided technical assistance this quarter to growers from 28 organizations in San Marcos and Huehuetenango to promote the GAPs summarized below.
