Regular Work Periods and Overtime. Section 18.1. Definition. The workweek shall consist of forty (40) hours based on five (5) consecutive eight (8) hour workdays and two (2) consecutive days off. “Paid status” shall include work hours as well as all hours in paid status while on any approved leave.

Regular Work Periods and Overtime. Section 19.1 - Definition Regular hours for Firefighters, Firefighter/Medics, and Lieutenants shall be 212 hours in a 28-day period. The 28-day period shall be assigned and scheduled by the Fire Chief. Regular hours shall be a 24-hour platoon system, with each of (3) platoons beginning their shift at 0730 hours. The hourly wage is based upon a yearly schedule of 2756 hours worked. Inspectors shall work a 40-hour work schedule of 2080 hours. Each Leap Year the following schedule shall apply to more equally distribute the working of holidays for the employees: The shift working on February 28th shall work 0730-1530 on February 29th. The shift working on February 27th shall work 1530-2330 on February 29th The shift working on February 26th shall work 2330-0730 on February 29th, and continue to work the twenty-four (24) hour shift on March 1st. Personnel wishing to use earned time off during these shifts must be approved by the Fire Chief. Trades worked on Leap Year dates shall be returned (“paid back”) hour for hour. For forty (40) hour Members, the work week shall consist of 40 hours based on five (5) consecutive eight (8) hour workdays and two (2) consecutive days off, or, four (4) consecutive ten (10) hour days at the discretion of the Fire Chief or designee.

  • Rest Period After Overtime (a) When overtime work is necessary, it will, wherever reasonably practicable, be so arranged that employees have at least 10 consecutive hours off duty between the work of successive days or shifts, including overtime.

  • Planned Overtime In making planned overtime assignments the Employer shall first assign overtime on an equal opportunity basis according to each section’s procedure (Schedule E), as agreed to by the parties. Such overtime shall be assigned to employees who are actively on the payroll and who have indicated their willingness to accept overtime assignments according to section procedures and who are:

  • Scheduled Overtime Scheduled overtime is overtime which is assigned by the end of the employee's last worked shift prior to the overtime assignment and which does not immediately precede or immediately follow a scheduled work shift. Unless notified otherwise in advance of the scheduled starting time of the scheduled overtime assignment, any employee who is scheduled to report for work and who reports as scheduled shall be assigned at least two (2) hours work. If work is not available, the employee may be excused from duty and paid for two (2) hours at the employee's appropriate rate. If the employee begins work but is excused from duty before completing two (2) hours of work, the employee shall be paid for two (2) hours at the employee's appropriate rate.

  • Normal Work Year The normal work year for the Administrator shall be Two Hundred Sixty (260) days between July 1 and June 30 annually which will include all student attendance days and teacher work days. The Administrator shall not be entitled to any additional paid days unless specifically required to work beyond the Two Hundred Sixty (260) day contract by the Superintendent or the Board.
