RELIEVING IN OTHER GRADES. 27.01 When an employee is detailed in a position of higher rating for more than a full shift, he shall receive the rate for the position for which he is relieving for the full period of the relief.
RELIEVING IN OTHER GRADES. 22:01 When an Employee is detailed to relieve in a position of higher rating, he/she shall receive the rate applicable for the position within the classification in which he/she is relieving for the full relief period. The Employer, prior to detailing an Employee to relieve in a position of a higher rate of pay, will give consideration to the most senior qualified Employee within the area section, having regard to the immediate efficiency of Employer operations.
22:02 When an Employee is detailed to relieve in a position of lower rating for any period, he/she shall maintain his/her basic rate of pay while so assigned.
22:03 When a Full Time Permanent Employee is requested and is willing to relieve in a position outside the Bargaining Unit, he/she shall receive not less than ten (10%) percent above the highest rated classification supervised for the full relief period. Such Employee shall continue payment of Union Dues to the Bargaining Agent and shall continue to accrue seniority up to a maximum of six (6) months. The period of relief shall be no longer than six (6) continuous calendar months. When required, Management may request an extension to the six (6) continuous months time limit and consent shall not be arbitrarily or unreasonably withheld by the Union. No Employee will relieve in a position outside the Bargaining Unit for more than nine (9) months in a calendar year. It is agreed that a ten (10%) percent premium also applies to training performed by Employees provided it has been assigned by their Supervisor. It is agreed that for the purposes of this Article, training does not include the performance of duties like familiarization, acquainting or orientation.
RELIEVING IN OTHER GRADES. 12.01 A nurse temporarily assigned to a higher rated classification, of not less than fourteen (14) consecutive calendar days shall receive the rate of pay for the higher rated job classification from the first day of relieving.
12.02 A nurse temporarily assigned to a lower rated classification shall receive her/his regular rate of pay while so assigned.
RELIEVING IN OTHER GRADES. 11:01 An Employee temporarily assigned to a position in a higher Job Group to replace an Employee for an absence not to exceed sixty (60) calendar days, shall receive a rate of pay increase in the higher job group of not less than one (1) increment above the rate of pay being received immediately prior to the temporary relieving assignment, for the full relief period. Upon completion of the aforesaid sixty (60) calendar day period, the temporary assignment, unless mutually extended by both Parties hereto, which extension shall not be arbitrarily or unreasonably withheld by either Party hereto, shall be posted in accordance with Article 10.
11:02 An Employee temporarily assigned to a lower job rated classification shall receive his/her regular rate of pay while so assigned.
11:03 When an Employee is requested in writing and is willing to relieve in a position outside the Bargaining Unit, he/she shall receive not less than ten (10%) percent above the highest rated classification supervised for the full relief period. Such Employee shall continue payment of Union Dues to the Bargaining Agent and shall continue to accrue seniority up to a maximum of six (6) months. RELIEVING IN OTHER GRADES. 24.01 When an employee is assigned to relieve in a position of higher rating for a full shift, he shall receive the rate for the position for which he is relieving for the full period of the relief.
24.02 When an employee is assigned to relieve in a position of lower rating for any period, he shall maintain his regular rate of pay.
RELIEVING IN OTHER GRADES. 26.01 When an employee is detailed to relieve in a position of higher wage classification, he shall receive the rate for the position for which he is relieving for the full period of the relief. An employee assigned by the Department Head or his/her delegate to serve in a management position shall be given notice of the assignment in writing.
26.02 When an employee is detailed to relieve in a position of lower wage classification for any period, he shall maintain his regular rate of pay while so assigned.
26.03 This article shall not apply to Plant Operations Division personnel in the Maintenance Operator progression system who are all in the same classification of Maintenance Operator.

(a) When an Employee is detailed to relieve in a position of higher rating, he/she shall receive the rate for the position for which he/she is relieving for the full period of relief. The provisions of this Article shall not apply in the case of an Employee relieving in a position outside the Scope of this Agreement.
RELIEVING IN OTHER GRADES. When an employee is detailed to relieve in a position of higher rating, then the employee will be paid the higher rate for each day after having relieved in the higher position. When an employee is detailed to relieve in a position of lower rating for any period, the employee shall maintain his/her regular rate of pay.
RELIEVING IN OTHER GRADES. 12.01 An employee temporarily assigned to relieve in a position in a higher job group in excess of three (3) calendar days shall receive a rate of pay increase in above the rate of pay being received immediately prior to the temporary relieving assignment.
12.02 An employee temporarily assigned to a lower job rated classification shall receive his regular rate of pay while so assigned.
12.03 It is agreed and understood that permanent employees who are successful applicants for, and subsequently relieve in, temporarily vacant positions, shall be permitted, upon the return of the incumbent to such a position, to return to their own job without loss of seniority or other penalty.
12.04 Employees may request to exchange positions for up to six (6) months at any one time with another employee within the same Classification.
