Payment of Union DuesAny employee who is or who becomes a member of Union shall, as a condition of employment, tender to the Union periodic dues uniformly required by Union as a condition of acquiring or retaining membership.
Payment of Union Dues a. For assignments limited in duration to six months or less, the employee shall continue to be represented by the base union and continue to pay dues to the union representing the employee’s base classification. b. For assignments greater than six months in duration, the employee will temporarily cease paying dues to the base union and will pay dues to the union representing the assignment (special duty union). Dues payment shall be consistent with the CLA, from the time the employee is placed in the assignment until the employee returns to their regular assignment. In this circumstance, the employee will not pay dues to the base union during the assignment, unless the employee chooses to pay dues to both unions. The participating unions shall waive initiation fees. If the assignment is initially approved for six months or less, but is extended beyond six months, the employee will begin paying dues to the special duty union once the assignment extends beyond six months.
Payment of Union DuesSection 16.1 a. Who voluntarily complete Standard Form 1187, "Request and Authorization for Voluntary Allotment of Compensation for Payment of Employee Organization Dues"; b. Who receive biweekly compensation sufficient to cover the total amount of the allotment; and c. Who are in the exclusively recognized IBEW bargaining unit of Western employees. The provisions of this Article are subject to and will be governed by 5 U.S.C. 7115. (Title VII). Voluntary cancellation of dues withholding submitted at any time during the first year after the employee's dues authorization will be effective the first full pay period after the first year anniversary date of the employee's dues authorization. Thereafter, voluntary cancellation of dues withholding may be submitted at any time, but will only be effective on the first full pay period following November 1 of each year, providing that the employee's dues authorization has been in effect for at least one year as of November 1.

Upon receipt of written certification by PEU Local One that an employee has signed a deduction authorization, the City will deduct the appropriate dues or fees from the employee’s pay, as established and as may be changed from time to time by the Union and will remit such dues or fees to PEU Local One. Payroll deductions for new members authorizing dues deduction will become effective the first of the pay period following City’s receipt of the written certification of authorization, as long as the written authorization is provided before 5:00 p.m. the Friday before the end of the pay period. Payment of Union Dues. 3.01 All employees shall be required to authorize the deduction of the regular monthly Union dues and the initiation fee from theirpay. Authorization forsuch deduction shall be made on copies of the following form: "I, an employee of Weston Foods (Canada) INC, Kingston, Ontario, voluntarily and individually hereby authorize the aforesaid Company to deduct the regular monthly Union dues and initiation fee from the earnings accumulated to my credit on the first pay of each calendar month and remit such deduction to the Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers' International Union, Local 403. I agree that Weston Foods (Canada) Inc. Kingston, shall be saved harmless for all deductions made in accordance with the terms hereof. Date .............................. Signature " 3.02 Deduction of the dues shall commence upon completion of thirty (30) days of work. The initiation fee shall be deducted once during an employee's tenure. The amounts so deducted shall be delivered to the Financial Secretary of the Union during the last week of the month in which the dues are deducted. 3.03 The Union will save the Company harmless from any and all claims which may be made against the Company by employees for amounts deducted in accordance with the terms of this Article.

In this circumstance, the employee will not pay dues to the base union during the special duty/acting assignment, unless the employee chooses to pay dues to both unions. The participating unions shall waive initiation fees. If the acting/special duty assignment is initially approved for six (6) months or less, but is extended beyond six (6) months, the employee will begin paying dues to the special dutyacting union once the assignments extends beyond six (6) months.
Payment of Union Dues. 01a) The Company will deduct once (1) per month from the wages payable to employees an amount equivalent to the regular monthly dues of the Union and will remit the amount so deducted to a designated official of the Union by the first (1st) day of each month. Seasonal and part-time employees will be required to pay Union dues upon hiring.
