REQUESTS FOR BARGAINING. 1. Upon a request of either party for a meeting to open bargaining, a mutually acceptable meeting date shall be set not more than ten (10) days following such request. A request for bargaining for a successor contract shall be made not less than ninety (90) days nor more than one hundred twenty (120) days prior to the expiration of this contract.

If the Association or Board desires to open bargaining, it shall notify the other in writing no later than January 1, immediately prior to the expiration date of the agreement. Notification in writing from the Association shall be served on the Superintendent. Notification in writing from the Board shall be served on the Association President.
REQUESTS FOR BARGAINING. 1. All requests for the initiation of negotiations shall be made in writing utilizing the required SERB forms. The request initiated by the Association shall be directed to the Superintendent; the request initiated by the Board shall be directed to the President of the Association.

If the Federation or Board desires to open bargaining on salaries or other terms and conditions of employment, it shall notify the other in writing no later than May 31st, and not earlier than February 1st, immediately prior to the expiration date of this contract. Notification in writing from the Federation shall be served on the Superintendent. Notification in writing from the Board shall be served on the Federation President.
REQUESTS FOR BARGAINING. If either party desires to negotiate changes in this Agreement, it shall notify the other party in writing not earlier than March 15 nor later than May 29 prior to the expiration of this Agreement. Notification from the Union shall be served on the Superintendent and notification from the Board shall be addressed to the Union President. When the request is made, a copy of the notice and a copy of this Agreement will be sent to the State Employment Relations Board by the initiating party. Within fifteen (15) days after receipt of such notice, an initial meeting will be held for the purpose of exchanging written proposals and establishing a date for the next session. Unless mutually agreed by both parties, all proposals will be fully written and no new proposals will be introduced after the second meeting except by mutual agreement.
