Rest Between Change of Shifts. Failure to provide at least ten (10) hours rest between shifts which are being changed shall result in payment of overtime at established rates for any hours worked during such periods.

Rest Between Change of Shifts. (a) For Employees required to work rotating regular 7.5 hour shifts, the Employer will endeavor to provide at least sixteen (16) hours rest between regularly scheduled shifts unless otherwise mutually agreed. This provision is not applicable to a Casual Employee. (b) For Employees required to work rotating regular 11.25 hour shifts, the Employer will endeavor to provide at least twelve (12) hours rest between regularly scheduled shifts unless otherwise mutually agreed. This provision is not applicable to a Casual Employee.
Rest Between Change of Shifts. (i) Eight (8) Hour Shifts
Rest Between Change of Shifts a) The employer must provide at least eight (8) hours of rest between shifts in the event of a shift rotation change. b) A shift rotation change shall not occur on the same calendar day. c) An employee is entitled to at least sixteen (16) hours of rest between shifts within his shift rotation. However, he may voluntarily waive the entitlement to sixteen (16) hours of rest between shifts in the event of a shift change within the shift rotation. d) Failure by the Employer to provide at least sixteen (16) hours of rest between shifts within a shift rotation shall result in payment of overtime at established rates for any hours worked during the sixteen (16) hour rest period in cases where the employee does not voluntarily waive such entitlement.
Rest Between Change of Shifts. Failure to provide at least fourteen (14) hours between regular shifts only, which are being changed, shall result in payment of overtime at established rates for any hours worked during such rest period. However, any hours worked resulting in premium payments, shall not be included in the fourteen (14) hour turnaround period. For Kitchen staff, this turnaround period will be twelve (12) hours for emergency call-ins only.
Rest Between Change of Shifts. The Employer will endeavour to schedule no less than twelve (12) hours between normal scheduled shifts provided adequate staff is available to work. Overtime or other premium payments will not result if the employer is unable to schedule more than eight (8) hours off between shifts. Notwithstanding the above, the foregoing will not apply when employees agree to switch shifts.
