Review of Design Documents. 10.1.2.1 Review Project design and budget with District and Architect based on the 100% Construction Documents submitted to DSA to: 10.1.2.1.1 Provide recommendations on site use and improvements, selection of materials, building systems and equipment and methods of Project delivery; 10.1.2.1.2 Provide recommendations on relative feasibility of construction methods, availability of materials and labor, time requirements for procurement, installation and construction of the Project and subparts thereof if requested, and factors relating to cost including, but not limited to, construction costs of alternate designs of materials, preliminary budgets and possible economics that could be achieved through alternate methods or substitutions; 10.1.2.1.3 Provide recommendations on relative feasibility of construction methods, availability of materials and labor, time requirements for procurement, installation and construction of the Project and subparts thereof if requested, and factors relating to cost including, but not limited to, construction costs of alternate designs of materials, preliminary budgets and possible economics that could be achieved through alternate methods or substitutions; 10.1.2.1.4 Provide plan review.

Review of Design Documents. The Construction Management firm including the CM’s Project Manager and Field Superintendent, shall review the Design Documents completed by the Architect and have a complete understanding of the Project design and scope.

Review of Design Documents. The CM shall review the design documents AND ANY ADDENDA OR OTHER INFORMATION FROM THE DESIGNER for clarity, consistency, constructability and coordination among the Contractors. Review of Design Documents. The CM shall thoroughly and completely review all design documents, including programming, drawings, specifications, addenda, and supplemental design information, for clarity, consistency, constructability and coordination among the Contractors. The results of the review shall be provided in writing as notations on the documents or in a written report. The CM is not responsible for providing, nor does the CM control, the Project design and contents of the design documents prepared by the Designer. By performing the reviews described herein, the CM is not acting in a manner so as to assume professional responsibility or liability, in whole or in part, for all or any part of the Project design and design documents prepared by the Designer or the Owner.

Review of Design DocumentsThe Construction Manager shall review and provide written comments with respect to design documents for the Project prepared by the Consultant. The Construction Manager's review and comments shall address the issues set forth below. (1) constructability; (2) coordination; (3) economy and efficiency; (4) construction methods and materials; (5) availability of materials and labor; (6) minimalization of impact on agency operations; (7) division of the Work for the purpose of bidding, taking into account such factors as the type or scope of Work to be performed, time of performance, availability of labor, community relations, and other pertinent data relating to the various trades involved; (8) time of performance; (9) compliance with the required scope of Work; (10) compliance with criteria set forth in the DDCM Guide for Consultants; (11) compliance with DDCM comments; (12) avoidance of possible conflicts and overlapping jurisdiction among the Subcontractors performing Work for the Project, including recommended solutions for the elimination of such conflicts or overlaps, and (13) avoidance of inconsistencies, problems, delays and change orders during the construction process. In addition to and without limiting the foregoing, the Construction Manager shall, as part of its review of the design documents, (1) identify any issues that may generate problems during construction; (2) make recommendations for any changes in the Work it considers necessary or desirable, and (3) make any observations or raise any concerns it may have concerning the design or the structural integrity of the same. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in this Article 11, the Construction Manager shall have no obligation to identify and/or correct professional errors or omissions in the design documents.
