Review of Files. An employee shall be allowed to review the contents of his/her personnel file at all reasonable times upon written request. Memoranda clarifying and explaining alleged inaccuracies of any document in his/her files may be added to the file by the respective employee.
Review of Files. Any classified employee shall have the right to review the contents of the employee's own personnel file during administration office hours. A classified employee may file a written rebuttal to anything placed therein. Such rebuttal, once filed, shall be a permanent part of the file. No disciplinary action, evaluation or complaint will be entered into the employee's personnel file without the employee first being given a copy of the document.

They cannot, however, review confidential material which was (a) obtained prior to their employment; (b) prepared by identifiable examination of committee members; or (c) obtained in connection with a promotional examination. If an employee requests copies of more than 20 pages, the Employer reserves the right to charge the employee $.15 per copy over the initial 20 pages.

An employee may be accompanied by a Union representative when reviewing his file. An employee may compile, date, and insert, in said file a list of documents he finds therein and keep a copy of said list. Files shall be reviewed in the presence of the Sheriff or his designee.

Review of Files. There shall be one official personnel file maintained at the District Office for each educator. An educator shall have the right, upon request, to review the contents of his/her official personnel file in company with or without a representative of the Association, or their counsel, at reasonable times. This review may not include material of a privileged nature which is related to the educator’s initial employment. Only the official personnel file (as provided herein) shall be used by the Board to support a discharge or disciplinary action against the educator, or a directive to remediate.
