RF Team Leader. 5.4.1.Characteristics of the level Persons appointed at this level are graduates with significant experience (5 plus years) in the field of appointment, a depth of knowledge of the broad and complex nature of the work and the most appropriate strategies or interventions to maximize client outcomes. This depth of knowledge may be acquired through degree or post-graduate qualifications or superior levels of experience including working with diverse and very complex client groups. Workers at this level provide professional practice leadership in the relevant field of work for the position eg Homelessness, mental health, dual diagnosis etc. Workers at this level work under limited direction and report directly to an RFV Manager. Persons at this level have clear duties and accountabilities and receive fortnightly supervision related to the performance of their professional duties. Team Leader is the initial supervisory level for Richmond Fellowship workers. Team leaders provide professional practice leadership in large and complex programs and may also have a supervisory accountability for designated staff or administrative functions eg staff rostering, xxxxx cash, impress account etc Team leaders are typically employed in large programs with in excess of 8 EFT staff and budgets exceeding $0.6 M. Team leaders may however also be employed as team leaders or managers of a very small or discrete program operation ( a team of 3 or 4 EFT or less) within a region or program where there are particular complexities eg a committee of management arrangement or a large outreach activity. Team leaders support the effective running of large programs and will typically have practice leadership and supervisory responsibilities for a team of staff of between three to six EFT. Where a team leader has only professional practice leadership responsibilities they will in addition have other designated administrative or professional leadership/supervisory responsibilities within the program and applying at a program level or across a significant group of the program staff. Team leaders are involved in working and building relationships with other community organisations and may take a lead role within a program for carer and family initiatives. Staff employed at this level undertake and provide professional supervision to staff and take a lead role in the orientation and training of new staff.   • Team Leader In each of the categories described above, a Team Leader, besides knowing all of the specialization and orientation of their category, must have proved certifiable, technical expertise and aptitude, show leadership capabilities in management, coordination, training and work team skills. On the basis of the aforesaid attributes, a person can be promoted to a higher position within the same category and shall be known as Team Leader. The Team Leader will have the necessary knowledge and responsibility for the product, equipment, processes and their quality, Health and Safety Practices, verification of the availability of the necessary inputs and tools, and deviation and follow-up analysis. The Company will select Team Leaders in accordance with Article 14.2 (c). The Team Leader will have authority to direct workers both inside and outside of the bargaining unit.
