Professional Leadership. (a) Professional nursing leadership at RDNS will be provided by a full time senior Registered Nurse position of Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing (DON) however titled.
Professional Leadership. 1.1. Works in partnership with senior nursing, medical, pharmacy and allied health staff to deliver a safe, evidence-based, well-governed medicines management service, utilising and implementing technological advances where appropriate. 1.2. Makes independent decisions and is the expert resource for all pharmacists and other professional staff with respect to the Surgical pharmacy services assigned to this position. 1.3. Provides professional leadership, including developing, promoting and leading a specialised clinical pharmacy team within assigned Medical Specialty areas, to ensure the provision of professional and optimal pharmacy services to medical inpatients and outpatients. 1.4. Promotes evidence-based practice and research as the foundation for advances in clinical therapeutics, medicines management and pharmacy practice. 1.5. Promotes and leads innovative quality improvement programs and medicines management systems geared towards National accreditation and as long term strategies towards safer, more efficient and well governed health care. 1.6. Assists with development of and participation in educational programs provided by the Pharmacy department, on matters relating to optimal medication management. 1.7. Actively participates with the planning, implementation and documentation of activities associated with National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards and the EQuIP National program.

Professional Leadership. 3.1. Promotes excellence in professional practice standards and professional conduct as guided by the WA Health Code of Conduct and the Vison, Motto and Values of the SCGOPHCG. 3.2. Provides a centralised operational direction of administrative services across the SCGOPHCG with regard outpatient management. 3.3. Works to ensure the health and wellbeing of all operational staff and ensures a supportive working environment. 3.4. Demonstrates a commitment to lifelong learning and ongoing professional development. 3.5. Maintains awareness of current trends influencing health services and other services under the area of responsibility. 3.6. In conjunction with relevant parties initiates, promotes and facilitates the development of formal quality improvement and risk management projects and programmes, ensuring an evidenced-based outcome-focused culture of improving performance. 3.7. In partnership with relevant stakeholders, ensures the establishment and maintenance of a culture of patient safety within Outpatients Services and contributes to hospital wide initiatives.
Professional Leadership. 3.1. Provide expert clinical advice, consultation and education to clinicians and act as a resource to the hospital, external agencies, and WA Health on matters relating to advanced scope physiotherapy. 3.2. Liaise with the relevant department’s Heads of Service for Allied Health, Medical and Nursing to evaluate the operation of the service, identify service development needs and manage implementation of required changes in relation to area of expertise. 3.3. Act as a clinical leader and expert in Physiotherapy Advanced Scope matters and monitor the internal and external environments to keep current in this arena and to identify, influence and implement relevant change in professional practice standards, policies and procedures. 3.4. Liaise with Physiotherapy Professional Lead to ensure alignment and implementation with broader profession strategic objective and goals.

Participates in procedures and practices to maintain, affirm and improve team effectiveness and the quality of teaching and learning. (Have clear, achievable expectations for all teachers). Initiate, plan and manage the specific areas programme and practice to reflect a commitment to focusing on Campus Creche’s continual improvement/progression. Facilitate and contribute to professional debates within the area you are responsible and the Team Leader for. Be an effective, authentic and ‘present’ teacher of small children when working directly with them’. Articulate a coherent personal professional philosophy of early childhood education. Work to ensure that the teaching team feels valued, and is motivated and positive about Campus Creche at Xxxxxx’x direction and demonstrates positive relationships with Creche Trust / support groups / agencies. Role model and promote opportunities for parents, whānau and community to be involved in children’s learning. Keep the Manager appropriately informed on issues relevant to the area’s operations and keep colleagues informed and up to date with all relevant information. Contribute to the effective establishment and implementation of processes and continuing sustainability for regular self-review (Creche’s Action Learning Cycle). Integrate new practices and assimilate what has been learnt through the self-review process (the evidence). Understand the impact of technology in the workplace and implement its use appropriately. Work competently within ICT processes at Fraser. Comply with all relevant legislative requirements and with monitoring and reporting requirements. Effectively and efficiently manage staff rosters within the adult/child ratios at all times the area is operating. Keep the teaching staff informed on issues of importance raised by the Manager at Fraser. Share responsibilities and delegate tasks as appropriate with colleagues in the teaching team. Ensure the Second Person Responsible has the opportunity and support to learn and maintain the skills required to be the Person Responsible when necessary. When required, support and be involved in implementing effective strategies to recruit and retain professional, suitable, dedicated and enthusiastic teachers at Campus Creche. Professional Leadership. May be responsible for mentoring a Student teacher according to the requirements of the Training organization. May be responsible for mentoring a Provisionally Registered Teacher (PRT) according to the Preschool’s policy for PRT and the requirements of the Teachers’ Council of NZ. May act as “Person Responsible” and carries out tasks associated with this position. Complies and supports other teachers to comply with all monitoring and reporting to fulfil relevant legislative requirements. Acts responsibility with financial resources within delegated areas of authority. Upholds the Code of Ethics for Registered Teachers Willingly embraces the Christian philosophy of the preschool. Holds a full and current teacher registration, or a provisional registration pending full registration. Holds a NZQA recognised ECE Teaching qualification. Has a current First Aid Certificate or is in the process of renewal. Can use modern information technology. E.g. MicrosoG programmes, Internet, email, Tablet and video equipment Has had suitable teaching and leadership experience in early childhood education in New Zealand, commensurate with the role expected. Displays ethical and responsible behaviour. Demonstrates flexibility to accommodate change and complete a variety of tasks. Demonstrates punctuality. Maintains a presentable standard of personal hygiene and appropriate dress that fulfils the Dress Code policy.
