All Transportation Employees shall receive pay for required road tests, which are held periodically for driver’s certification and licensing and which are normally, usually and customarily required by employees for such certification. After being authorized to conduct CDL testing by the Department, the AO will be issued a series of controlled forms that must be completed in black ink and used in numerical order. Complete any knowledge tests using the Department’s online application, regardless if a test was passed or failed. Complete all applicable areas of skills test form CDL-41, regardless if a test was passed or failed. Upon passing or failing a CDL test, all information must be entered into CSTIMS within 24 hours of the test. Any Applicant (regardless of driving experience) must wait one business day if the Applicant fails on any attempt at the test before being retested. Examiners are permitted to have their CDL test administered by a Department Examiner or another Examiner within the same AO. An Examiner who leaves the employment of a licensed AO and wishes to transfer to another licensed AO must: Have the new AO submit a new Examiner application and complete all Department requirements as a new Examiner. Successfully complete a Skills Performance Evaluation. CDL skills tests that are postponed due to severe weather or emergencies must be noted on the CDL-41, in CSTIMS and reported to the CDL TPST Audit Team within one business day. A skills test to remove a restriction or add an endorsement may be completed at the AO using the approved full route. Modified routes cannot be used by the AO.
Road test. 3.1.1 The road test will be carried out over a winding circuit with a figure of eight layout - corresponding to a surfaced or concrete load and incorporating corners with radii of between 25 and 100m.
3.1.2 The vehicle will cover the circuit under the following conditions:- - 3km at maximum speed, - 10 km at a uniform speed of 50km/h, - the remainder of the test mileage (not more than 62km) at a uniform speed of 25km/h.

(ii) A unilateral applicant shall be re- sponsible for having a road test admin- istered by a motor carrier or a person who is competent to administer the test and evaluate its results.

ENGINE OIL PRESSURE AND OPERATING TEMPERATURES are within normal AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION is shifting smoothly and quietly. STANDARD TRANSMISSION is shifting smoothly and quietly (also transfer case 4x4s). VIBRATION in the drive-line, if any, has been corrected. AIR CONDITIONING cools appropriately. INTERIOR EQUIPMENT: Controls and equipment operational. ELECTRICAL: All grids on the heated back glass (if equipped) are operational. All interior and exterior lamps are operational. Verify proper operation of OEM keyless entry system if applicable. BRAKE SYSTEM: Check for drift, pull, noises, vibrations, warning indicator is off. NOTE: If any item does not pass inspection, it must be repaired or brought into compliance prior to the purchase of a Gold Standard Automotive Network Contract.
