SCHOOL UNION REPRESENTATIVES. 1. The Board recognizes school union representatives in each school selected by the RTA to represent its members. Administrative staff shall ensure that school union representatives are allowed to fulfill their RTA duties in an unhindered environment. 2. When, as provided for in Article A.6.2 a meeting with a teacher is to be held at which the school union representative is to be present, the administrator shall provide advance notice and schedule the meeting at a time convenient to the parties and outside of instructional hours. 3. The teacher may request that a meeting with an administrator be held outside of instructional hours so that school union representatives may be present. 4. School union representatives shall schedule any business meetings of members of the bargaining unit outside of instructional hours. 5. The Executive Officers or school union representatives shall have the right to hold discussions or meetings with a teacher or teachers. Such discussions and meetings shall not interfere with the regular operation of the school.

SCHOOL UNION REPRESENTATIVES. The School Xxxxxxx will be present at the determination of Teachers Available for Transfer (TAT) within their schools. School The year as defined in the Collective Agreement. As of April seniority shall be determined using total Elementary annualized teaching experience with the Board and its predecessors, while a member of the Union. When seniority is calculated, June of the current school year will be used. Ties in years of seniority will be broken using the amended criteria as described below. Formula The negotiated methods which are recognized for calculating the number of Teachers on staff in Hastings Xxxxxx Xxxxxx District School Board. Surplus to the A Teacher may be declared Surplus to the System in the Elementary panel when the number of Full Time Equivalent Teachers under contract exceeds the number of Full Time Equivalent positions available, after application of the staffing formulas and other Board staffing needs. These Teachers will generally have the least teaching experience in Hastings Xxxxxx Xxxxxx District School Board. Teacher This refers to a member of the Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario who is employed by The Hastings Xxxxxx Xxxxxx District School Board under this Collective Agreement. School Closure In the event of a school closing, Teachers will become a System Responsibilityand subject to the Transfer and Surplus process. The staff of a twinned school are considered to be one staff.

  • UNION REPRESENTATIVE'S VISITS 30.01 Duly authorized full-time representatives of the Union shall be entitled to visit the Co-operative for the purpose of observing working conditions, interviewing members and unsigned employees and to ensure that the terms of the Collective Agreement are being implemented. 30.02 The interview of an employee by a Union Representative shall be permitted, after notifying the General Manager or their designated representative, and shall be: (a) carried on in a place within the Co-operative's premises designated by management; (b) held whenever possible during the lunch period; however, if this is not practical; (c) held during the regular working hours; time taken for such interview in excess of five (5) minutes shall not be on Co-operative time unless with the approval of management; (d) held at such times as will not interfere with service to the public.
