SENIORITY OF APPRENTICES. Upon satisfactory completion of the Apprenticeship Program, the apprentice will be given 100% credit for seniority of time spent in the Apprenticeship Training Program in his/her trade in accordance with Article 6 (a) of the Master Agreement. Apprentices will exercise their seniority in their own group. For example, if there are three apprentices in any specific trade and a reduction in this number is required, the first enrolled in the program shall be the last laid off and the last laid off shall be the first to be recalled. An employee having seniority in the plant who enters the Apprenticeship Training Program shall, during the period of his/her apprenticeship, retain and accumulate seniority in the plant, and if dismissed from the Apprenticeship Training Program, he/she shall return to the Production group in accordance with Section 3 of the respective Local Agreement. An employee having seniority in the plant who enters the Apprenticeship Training Program, and during the period of his/her apprenticeship is laid off from the Apprenticeship Training Program, may return to the Production group in accordance with Article 8 (e) of the Master Appendix Skilled Trades. An apprentice hired directly into an apprentice classification shall for the purposes of layoff, recall and benefit coverage have a seniority date with the Company consistent with his/her date of entry once his/her probationary period has been successfully completed as per Section 17 of the Master Agreement and in the event of layoff may apply for production pursuant to Article 8 (e) of the Master Appendix Skilled Trades.

  • Employment of Apprentices 1. Where either the prime AGREEMENT or the subagreement exceeds thirty thousand dollars ($30,000), the CONSULTANT and any subconsultants under him or her shall comply with all applicable requirements of Labor Code §§ 1777.5, 1777.6 and 1777.7 in the employment of apprentices.

  • TERM OF APPRENTICESHIP The term of apprenticeship shall be as established by these apprenticeship standards in accordance with the schedule of work processes and related instruction as outlined in Appendices attached hereto.

  • Adult Apprentices People who are 21 years of age or over at the time of entering into an apprenticeship with the Employer will be paid as per the wage rates set out in the appropriate Appendix to this Agreement. Where special or unusual circumstances occur or apply and where the parties to this Agreement and the adult apprentice agree in writing, the adult apprentice may be paid at a lesser rate, provided that the lesser rate will not be less than the rate for a junior apprentice set out in the appropriate Appendix to this Agreement.

  • Apprenticeships 20.1 The parties are committed to providing increased employment opportunities for apprentices and trainees through an effective manufacturing industry policy and an increase in apprenticeship places in the TAFE system.

  • STUDENTS AND BUSINESS APPRENTICES A student or business apprentice who is present in a Contracting State solely for the purpose of his education or training and who is, or immediately before being so present was, a resident of the other Contracting State, shall be exempt from tax in the first-mentioned State on payments received from outside that first-mentioned State for the purposes of his maintenance, education or training.

  • Dimensions Education Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.   • APPRENTICES 6.36.1 The Contractor acknowledges and agrees that, if this Contract involves a dollar amount greater than or a number of working days greater than that specified in Labor Code Section 1777.5, this Contract is governed by the provisions of Labor Code Section 1777.5.   • Apprenticeship Training The enterprise agrees to work with the union to improve apprenticeship training and the number of apprentices in training.

  • Seniority Lists A copy of the seniority list will be posted by January 31st and July 31st of each calendar year on designated bulletin boards with a copy forwarded to the bargaining unit president. Included in the list shall be a breakdown of total hours paid for part-time employees. All lists will include date of hire. Any errors noted in the seniority list should be noted and the employer notified within thirty (30) days, after which the list shall be considered final.

  • Apprenticeship Supervision All apprentices shall be supervised by an appropriately qualified tradesperson. The parties shall implement the ESV’s “Supervision guidelines for apprentices working on electrical installations”. These guidelines were developed by the Industry parties under the auspices of the Office of the Chief Electrical Inspector.
