Seniority Status During Maternity/Adoption. Parental Leave While on maternity, adoption/parental leave, an employee shall accumulate seniority and shall be entitled to full benefits, rights and privileges under this collective agreement. The Employer will continue payment of welfare premiums, provided the employee provides the cost of such premiums to the Employer at the commencement of such leave or makes other acceptable arrangements.

  • Maternity/Adoption Leave An employee who is pregnant and who has three (3) months or more of continuous service with the Company shall be granted leave of absence under the terms and conditions of the Employment Standards Act except as herein otherwise provided:

  • Special Maternity Allowance for Totally Disabled Employees (a) An employee who:

  • Maternity/Paternity/Adoption Leave An Employee who is expecting the birth or adoption of a child shall be entitled to maternity/paternity/adoption leave without pay, provided she presents a medical certificate confirming the probable date of confinement, or in the case of adoption, gives the Employer notice of eligibility. Except in extenuating circumstances, the notice shall be submitted in writing at least twenty-eight (28) days in advance of the leave and shall specify the probable date of commencement and the anticipated length of leave. The following conditions shall apply:

  • Maternity/Adoption/Parental Leave a) In accordance with the Saskatchewan Employment Act an employee shall be granted maternity, adoption, and/or parental leave of absence without pay.

  • Canceling Dependent Coverage During Open Enrollment In addition to the above situations, dependent health or dependent dental coverage may also be cancelled for any reason during the open enrollment period that applies to each type of plan (as long as allowed under the applicable provisions, regulations and rules of the federal and state law in effect at the beginning of the plan year).

  • Supplemental Employment Benefit for Maternity and Parental Leave 8.5.1 Effective April 1, 2002, when on maternity or parental leave, an employee will receive a supplemental payment added to Employment Insurance benefits as follows:

If such a transfer is not feasible, the pregnant employee, if she so requests, will be granted an unpaid leave of absence before commencement of the current contractual maternity leave provisions.

  • Maternity Adoption and Parental Leave The following in part reflects the provisions of the Employment Standards Act on these matters. In all cases of dispute, and where the Act as amended from time to time is superior, the provisions of the Act will prevail.
