Service and Scholarship Loading. In general, the service and scholarship expectations for professorial faculty, and the service expectations for professional faculty, shall be that which is consistent with being at least “Acceptable” as defined by the Faculty Bylaws 5.225 and 5.226. Supervisors of faculty members on split appointments or reassigned to administrative tasks shall work cooperatively in consultation with their Director(s) or the Xxxxxxx (or designee) to assure the expectations for a faculty member are in keeping with a normal faculty workload.

Service and Scholarship Loading. Efforts associated with service and scholarship shall amount to the following: • Professorial faculty on a renewable or a non-renewable contract: 9 ELU for service and scholarship • Professional faculty on a renewable contract: beginning September 16, 2019, 1-2 ELU for service. Professional faculty on renewable contracts are expected to contribute 1 ELU of service at the programmatic level. If a faculty member chooses 43 instructional ELU, they will contribute an additional 1 ELU of service at the programmatic and/or university level(s). • Professional faculty on a non-renewable contract: 0 ELU unless instructional ELU loading is reduced for service assignments (see Article 19.D, Service). Any reduction in teaching expectation shall be indicated as such on the faculty member’s non-renewable contract. • Instructional ELU loading may be reduced for service assignments (see Article 19.D, Service). When service ELU is assigned, then a report on the outcome(s) of work performed during the release will be submitted as part of the Faculty Professional Annual Report (FPAR). • Service and scholarship expectations for professorial faculty, and the service expectations for professional faculty, shall be that which is consistent with being at least “Acceptable” as defined by the Faculty Bylaws 5.225 and 5.226. • Professional faculty service over 2 ELU (also see Article 19.D, Service): ■ During any academic year where a Professional faculty member’s ELU of service are more than 2, a proportion of the ELU of service that is over 2 ELU must be in service on campus. In other words, while some ELU of service may be service to the discipline as outlined in the Faculty Bylaws, the service ELU must include some university service (committee or task force service). ■ The Professional Faculty Service ELU Guidelines [PFSEG] shall be found on the Xxxxxxx’x Faculty Resource website and used for service that exceeds 2 ELU. ■ When a professional faculty member feels that the agreed upon service obligation has been met, they may request additional service loading by sending a request to their Program Chair and Director to be shared with the Xxxxxxx (or designee). The faculty member and Program Chair should discuss the ramifications on the faculty member’s workload, including whether the requested additional loading would be considered overload or if a reduction in instructional loading could be possible. Efforts associated with service shall amount to 1 ELU for professional faculty on renewable contracts, and is typically designated to programmatic service. Professional faculty on non-renewable contracts are not expected to perform service if teaching 45 ELU. The teaching expectation can be reduced if a professional faculty member provides service. This reduction in teaching expectation shall be indicated as such on the faculty member’s non-renewable contract.   • Dispatch and Scheduling 4.3.1 The Power Producer shall be required to schedule its power as per the applicable Regulations / Requirements / Guidelines of CERC / GERC / SLDC / RLDC and maintain compliance to the Grid Code requirements and directions, as specified by SLDC / RLDC from time to time. Any deviation from the schedule will attract the provisions of applicable Regulation / Guidelines / Directions and any financial implication on account of this shall be to the account of the Power Producer.

  • Weekend Scheduling It is the policy of the Employer to schedule those nurses who so desire every other weekend off, with the exception of those nurses who have signed an authorization to work consecutive weekends. Nurses who have volunteered to work consecutive weekends may withdraw such authorization upon two (2) weeks’ written notice prior to the date a new schedule must be posted.

  • Unit Weekend Schedule A unit weekend schedule may be developed in order to meet the Hospital’s need for weekend staff, and individual nurses’ preference for a weekend work schedule. A unit weekend schedule is defined as a schedule in which a full-time nurse works a weekly average of thirty (30) hours and is paid for 37.5 hours at her or his regular straight time hourly rate. The schedule must include two 11.25 hour tours, which fall within a weekend period as determined by the Hospital and the Association. A nurse working a weekend schedule will work every weekend except as provided for in the provisions below. If the Hospital and the Association agree to a unit weekend schedule, the introduction of that schedule and the manner in which the position(s) are filled, shall be determined by the local parties and recorded in the Appendix of Local Provisions. This unit schedule may be discontinued by either party with notice as determined within the Appendix of Local Provisions. The opportunity for an individual nurse to discontinue this schedule shall be resolved by the local parties:

  • Service Animals Humber Residences acknowledges the rights of persons with disabilities to retain their service animal while living in Residence. In order to preserve the health and safety of all people and animals living or working in the Residence environment, the Resident will notify the Residence Office that they require a service animal and will provide documentation as outlined in the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act confirming that the Resident requires the service animal.
