Service Weapon. Upon his/her retirement, any employee covered by this Agreement 44 may purchase his or her service weapon from the Employer for a cost of twenty-five dollars 45 ($25.00), provided the employee retires on a full-service pension or through a disability pension 46 governed by the rules of the Public Employees Retirement System (LE). However, the employee 1 is not eligible to purchase said weapon if the retirement is based on a mental condition or a 2 mental disability. 5 ARTICLE 30 RATES OF PAY
Service Weapon. Upon a full service retirement twenty (20) years of law enforcement service with the Helena Police Department, retiring in good standing), Officers will be allowed to purchase their service weapon at fifty (50%) of the original cost as determined by the Chief of Police.
Service Weapon. Members who have completed at least ten (10) years of service, upon a service or disability retirement, shall be entitled to purchase their service weapon, this weapon must be at least three (3) years old, at a cost of one dollar ($1.00).
Service Weapon. The Department shall continue to provide, solely at the cost of the Department designated service weapon, as the departmental issued weapon to all employees in these units at no cost to the employee. Optional, alternative weapons as approved by the Sheriff may be utilized by an employee at his/her option, but solely at the employee's own expense. If the Department desires in the future to consider changes in service weapons, the Department shall first consult with the committee composed of two representatives of the Association who are employees of the Sheriff's Department, and one person who is a member of another police department in the County of Santa Xxxxx. Said committee shall study different weapons proposed by the Sheriff and shall recommend one of the weapons to be the departmentally issued weapon.
Service Weapon. Upon an employee’s longevity retirement of 20 or more years of service from the City under the pension plan or upon an employee’s disability retirement at the discretion of the Police Chief, the employee shall retain his service weapon as an award for years of service to the department.
Service Weapon. 41.01. Upon retirement, each member of the Police Department who has carried a service weapon for over a twenty (20) year period may keep the weapon upon retirement as long as all applicable state and federal laws are complied with. In lieu of receiving the service weapon, the employee may elect to receive monetary payment for the replacement value of the service weapon and the City will then retain the weapon.
Service Weapon. All Employees with a full service retirement will be provided with their department-issued service weapon at no charge. An Employee will have no more than thirty (30) days after separation to make such request to the Chief of Police. The Department may refuse to give an Employee his or her weapon for good cause shown. Good cause will be established where an Employee has pending criminal charges or has been convicted of a crime, is subject to departmental investigations or psychological restrictions. Employees who are involuntarily discharged will not receive a service weapon.

Service Weapon. The County agrees to transfer title of the retiring officer’s choice of any one (1) of their agency's issued firearms at retirement. If the officer selects the handgun there is no cost to the officer. If the officer selects any other issued duty firearm, the officer will pay the invoice cost difference between it and the handgun. The officer shall also pay the cost for any significant accessories attached to the weapons (significant is in excess of $25.00). Selection will not include fully automatic weapons.
