Sick Leave Incentive Beginning. January 1, 2021, full-time employees covered by this Agreement will be eligible to participate in a sick leave incentive program. Each employee will receive eight (8) hours of vacation leave credited to his or her balance if the employee uses no sick leave from January 1 to April 30 of each year, and an additional eight (8) hours of vacation leave credited to his or her balance credit if the employee uses no sick leave from May 1 to August 1 of each year; and an additional eight (8) hours of vacation leave credited to his or her balance credit if the employee uses no sick leave from September 1 to December 31 of each year. Each employee is only eligible to earn up to twenty-four (24) hours of leave per calendar year under this section. Sick Leave Incentive Beginning. January 1, 2019, full-time employees covered by this Agreement will be eligible to participate in a sick leave incentive program. Each employee will receive one (1) day of vacation leave credited to his or her balance if the employee uses no sick leave from January 1 to April 30 of each year, an additional day of vacation leave credited to his or her balance if the employee uses no sick leave from May 1 to August 31 of each year; and an additional day of vacation leave credited to his or her balance if the employee uses no sick leave from September 1 to December 31 of each year. Each employee is only eligible to earn up to three (3) days of leave per calendar year under this section. Utilization of sick leave for purposes of this section, excludes wellness checks and eleven (11) hours of prescheduled sick leave if you assigned to eight (8) hour shifts, and sixteen (16) hours of prescheduled leave if you are assigned to 12 hour shifts, per four (4) month period only. Wellness appointments must be noted on the sick leave form prior to the employee’s absence.

  • Sick Leave Incentive Effective September 1, 1986, employees covered by this Agreement, hired on or after October 1, 1977, who are not entitled to disability leave under State Statute R.C.W. 41.26, shall be eligible for the following sick leave incentive program:

  • Sick Leave Benefit There are two types of sick leave benefits. Annual sick leave is the sick leave days credited each year to each employee in accordance with the provisions of the local collective bargaining agreements. Banked sick leave is previously accumulated unused sick leave to which unused annual sick leave may be added at the end of each anniversary year.

  • Sick Leave Incentive Program MSUAASF and Minnesota State may develop a sick leave incentive program through the establishment of a joint committee.

  • Sick Leave Bonus For every six (6) months of perfect sick leave attendance after July 1, 1987, the employee will receive eight (8) hours of bonus time. This bonus time will be prorated for part-time employees. Such bonus time can be used for any leave purpose covered by this Agreement. Such bonus time shall be counted as vacation leave credits for purposes of determining eligibility for carry- over and cash payments.

  • Sick Leave Payout No cash payment for unused sick leave will be paid to any employee leaving the service of the Employer.

  • Sick Leave Benefits Sick leave is an indemnity benefit and not an acquired right. A Nurse who is absent from a scheduled shift on approved sick leave shall only be entitled to sick leave pay if the Nurse is not otherwise receiving pay for that day, and providing the Nurse has sufficient sick leave credits.

  • Sick Leave Pay A Nurse granted sick leave shall be paid for the period of such leave at her or his regular hourly rate of pay and the number of hours thus paid shall be deducted from the accumulated sick leave credits of the Nurse.

  • Sick Leave Pool a. The Sick Leave Pool is intended to provide security to supplement other insurance benefits by allowing employees to "buy" insurance for extended illness, or other disability. Pool Days may be used to "make an employee whole" if disability or Workers' Compensation benefits are less than normal base pay. When "buying" Pool Days, employees convert Earned Time days on a 1:3 basis. Similar to purchasing insurance, the employee may pick a given number of days to exchange for coverage in case of extended disability.

  • Compensation for Unused Sick Leave 1. Employees who enter County service after July 1, 1979, shall not be eligible for compensation for any of their unused sick leave credits.

  • Accrued 100% sick leave The use of sick leave under this subsection is at the employee's discretion.
