Sick Leave, Vacation Leave. If leave of absence (except as provided in Articles 15.1 and 15.3) exceeds thirty-one calendar days, credits for sick leave and vacation leave will not be accumulated during the period of absence. If the leave of absence is for less than thirty-two calendar days the employee will continue to accumulate sick leave credits and vacation credits in the normal fashion.

Sick Leave, Vacation Leave and Increment Date If the leave of absence (except as provided in Article 15.1 and 15.3) is intended to exceed thirty-one (31) calendar days, credit for sick leave and vacation leave will not be accumulated during the period of absence and increment date shall be set back accordingly. If the leave of absence is for less than thirty-one (31) calendar days, the increment date will not be affected, and the employee will continue to accumulate sick leave credits and vacation credits in the normal fashion. An employee will continue to accumulate sick leave credits and vacation credits in the normal fashion during the fifteen (15) weeks of Supplementary Employment Insurance Benefits. Sick leave credits and vacation credits will not accumulate during any other period of maternity/adoption/ parental leave. The employee’s increment date will be set back by the total of any maternity/ adoption/parental leave in excess of fifty-two (52) weeks.

  • Vacation Leave A part-time employee shall earn vacation leave credits for each month in which the employee receives pay for at least twice the number of hours in the employee’s normal workweek, at the rate for years of service established in clause 34.02 of this Agreement, prorated and calculated as follows:

  • Sick Leave The employee is eligible for long term disability benefits if provided for in the Collective Agreement. An employee will not receive pay for the first two (2) weeks of any period of absence due to a legitimate illness. The employee may utilize the paid holiday bank as income replacement for absences due to illness, as described in Article (c) above. An employee who is eligible may apply for Employment Insurance for weeks three (3) through seventeen (17) for any absence due to a legitimate illness. The Home will provide the employee with Disability Income Protection as per Article 14.01 (c) for weeks eighteen (18) through thirty (30) for any absence due to a legitimate illness. Employees may be required to provide medical proof of illness for any absence of a scheduled shift, which is neither vacation nor an approved leave of absence.

  • Vacation Leave Accrual ‌ After a full-time employee has been in pay status for eighty (80) non-overtime hours in a calendar month, the employee will accrue vacation leave according to the rate schedule below. Vacation leave accrual for part-time employees will be proportionate to the number of hours the part-time employee is in pay status during the month to that required for full-time employment.
