SOUND CONTROL REQUIREMENTS. 41.1 During the Concession Period, the Concessionaire shall comply with the relevant provisions of the L.O.S., the E.I.S., the Detailed Scheme and all local sound control and noise level laws, regulations, and ordinances, applicable to the Construction, Operation and Maintenance or any part thereof.

SOUND CONTROL REQUIREMENTS. The Service Provider shall comply with all sound control and noise level rules, regulations and ordinances which apply to the Services. In the absence of any such rules, regulations and ordinances, the Service Provider shall conduct Services in such a way as to minimize disruption to others due to sound and noise from the workers, and shall be responsive to the Corporation’s requests to reduce noise levels. Each internal combustion engine, used for any purpose related to the Services, shall be equipped with a muffler of a type recommended by the manufacturer. No internal combustion engine shall be operated on the site without a muffler. Construction equipment shall be fitted with modern emission control devices and shall be kept in proper tune. Loading and unloading of construction materials will be scheduled so as to minimize disruptions to campus activities. Archaeological Finds. If the Service Provider discovers any artifacts during excavation and/or construction, the Service Provider shall stop all affected work and notify the Corporation, who will call in a qualified archaeologist designated by the California Archaeological Inventory to assess the discovery and suggest further mitigation, as necessary. If the Service Provider discovers human remains, the Service Provider shall notify the Swanton Ranch who will be responsible for contacting the county coroner and a qualified archaeologist. If the remains are determined to be Native American, the Corporation shall contact the appropriate tribal representatives to oversee removal of the remains.

No maintenance functions that generate excess noise, which would cause annoyance to residents of the area, shall be commenced before 8:00 a.m. and after 7:00 p.m. or such other time as directed by the Parks Services Manager. Each internal combustion engine used for any purpose while performing the landscape maintenance services or related to landscape maintenance services shall be equipped with a muffler of a type recommended by the manufacturer. No internal combustion engine shall be operated without said muffler. Said noise level requirement shall be applied to all equipment used or related to providing landscape maintenance services, including, but not limited to, tracks, transit mixer, or transit equipment that may or may not be owned by the Contractor. The use of loud sound signals shall be avoided in favor of light warnings except those required by safety laws for the protection of the public or Contractor’s personnel.
SOUND CONTROL REQUIREMENTS. The CONTRACTOR shall comply with all County of Orange and local sound control and noise level rules, regulations and ordinances which apply to any work performed pursuant to the CONTRACT, and shall make every effort to control any undue noise resulting from the construction operation. Each internal combustion engine used for any purpose on the job or related to the job shall be equipped with a muffler of a type recommended by the manufacturer. No internal combustion engine shall be operated on the project without said muffler. The noise level from the CONTRACTOR's operations between the hours of 8 p.m. and 7 a.m. on weekdays, including Saturday, or at any time on Sunday or a Federal holiday, shall be in accordance with the County ordinance covering "Noise Control." This requirement in no way relieves the CONTRACTOR of responsibility for complying with local ordinances regulating noise level. Said noise level requirement shall apply to all equipment on the job or related to the job, including but not limited to trucks, transit mixers or transient equipment that may or may not be owned by the CONTRACTOR. The use of loud sound signals shall be avoided in favor of light warnings, except those required by safety laws for the protection of personnel.
SOUND CONTROL REQUIREMENTS. Sound control shall conform to the provisions in Section 12-1.09B, "Noise" of the Standard Construction Specifications. The noise level from the Contractor's operations, between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., shall not exceed 86 dbA at a distance of 15 m (50 feet). Said noise level requirement shall apply to all equipment on the work or related to the work, including but not limited to trucks, transit mixers or transient equipment that may or may not be owned by the Contractor. The use of loud sound signals shall be avoided in favor of light warnings except those required by safety laws for the protection of personnel. Full compensation for conforming to the requirements of this section shall be considered as included in the Contract prices paid for the various Contract items of work involved and no additional compensation will be allowed, therefore.

  • Quality control records and Documents The Contractor shall hand over a copy of all its quality control records and documents to the Authority’s Engineer before the Completion Certificate is issued pursuant to Clause 12.2. The Contractor shall submit Road Signage Plans to the Authority Engineer for approval at least 6 (six) months prior to expected completion of Project Highway.
