REQUIRED HEALTH EXAMINATIONS. The Deputy Superintendent, Human 33 Resource Services, or his/her designee may require an employee to report for a health 34 examination when in his/her judgment it is apparent that the employee or the District may be 35 harmed if the condition/situation is allowed to continue. It is the District’s right to require a 36 medical examination of any employee by a physician of its choice at its discretion and 37 expense. If the report of the physician shows the employee is in an unfit condition to perform 38 regular duties, with or without reasonable accommodation, the employee may be required to 39 absent himself/herself by being placed on administrative leave not to exceed five (5) days 40 until a determination of leave status is made by Human Resource Services. If the health 41 examination is given other than during the employee's regular working hours, the employee 42 shall be granted time off equal to that required for the examination. Overtime provisions 43 shall apply. The maximum time creditable for an examination shall be two (2) hours. 44

  • Health Examination 27-1 When the District determines that a MBU's health condition (mental or physical) may be impairing his/her job performance, the immediate supervisor, site administrator, or Regional Assistant Superintendent, with the concurrence of the Human Resources Department may, with just cause, direct the MBU to have a health examination at District expense. The MBU will be given a copy of the directive which will state the reason(s) for such examination.   • Examination Leave 35.3.1 Examination leave with pay shall be granted for an employee to write an examination for an accredited secondary school, technological institute or university subject, provided the course of study of the employee concerned can reasonably be construed by the Council as likely to increase the employee’s usefulness to the Council and is not an examination for a completely extraneous subject.

Employees may be required to take skin tests, x-ray examination, vaccination, inoculation and other immunization (with the exception of a rubella vaccination when the employee is of the opinion that a pregnancy is possible), unless the employee's physician has advised in writing that such a procedure may have an adverse affect on the employee's health.

  • Annual Physical Examination A permanent employee shall be granted up to one day per year with pay for the purpose of a comprehensive physical examination provided that the verification of such an examination is submitted to the District.
