Spray. BUFF The spraying of a light coating of finish on a floor surface while agitating with a buffing machine with appropriate pads, to provide a luster finish. SWEEP The removal of loose dirt and debris from masonry, composition, tile, or other non-carpeted floor surfaces by means of brooms or vacuuming. TRASH The removal of all discarded materials in wastebaskets and/or other trash receptacles from all areas of the building and depositing in approved trash receptacles outside of the buildings. This includes any and all containers marked as trash. VACUUM The removal of loose dirt, liquid, and debris from floor or other surfaces by means of a vacuum cleaner and appropriate attachments. WASH The cleaning of an item by dipping, scrubbing, and rinsing in water with the appropriate chemical agents added. WET MOP The removal of adhered dirt or other material from masonry, composition, tile, or other non-carpeted surfaces by means of sponge or string mops using mild cleaning agents dissolved in water. It is not immediately impervious, however, and does require proper maintenance. Avoid use of water on the surface for the first week after installation. This densified surface is very maintenance friendly. All that is needed to maintain the shine and seal on most floors is a mop and buffer or an automatic scrubbing machine and mild detergent. What to avoid: No acidic cleaners. Acidic detergents will etch the surface over time and dull the finish. No aggressive scrubbing brushes. Stratagrit, nylogrit, and other aggressive scrubbing brushes will alter the polish pattern and leave a dull appearance. Avoid all contact with acid. Avoid any detergents containing Hydroxides, or Sulfates. Do not use any cleaners with Citrus (De-limonene) or Butyl in them. We do not recommend applying waxes or acrylic to your Blazon treated floors. What to use: Mild, or neutral cleaners are sufficient for cleaning. Use soft brushes on the scrubbing machine. Black nylon brushes are sufficient, or a red or white pad. Scrub the floor to remove dirt and debris that can collect on the surface, covering the shine and creating a slippery environment.
