- Staffing Emergencies. A “staffing emergency” shall be declared by the Director of the Minneapolis Emergency Communications Center with written notice and explanation provided to the Union. Factors which may be considered in determining if a staffing emergency exists include chronic staffing shortages coupled with other employee absences and/or significant changes in workload. At the request of the Union, the Director shall discuss any “staffing emergency” with the Union. The Union shall be provided the opportunity to suggest alternative solutions. However, nothing in this section shall be interpreted to abridge the Employer’s right to ensure adequate and appropriate staffing or staffing levels.
- Staffing Emergencies. Where an Employee refuses to continue to work or return to work during an emergency which seriously affects the Employer’s ability to provide adequate resident care, unless a satisfactory reason is given to the Employer, the Employee shall be subject to disciplinary action.

  • Unforeseeable Emergency In the event of a Participant’s Unforeseeable Emergency, such Participant may request an emergency withdrawal from his or her Account. Any such request shall be subject to the approval of the Administrator, which approval shall not be granted to the extent that such need may be relieved (i) through reimbursement or compensation by insurance or otherwise or (ii) by liquidation of the Participant’s assets (to the extent the liquidation of such assets would not itself cause severe financial hardship). A Participant may withdraw all or a portion of his or her Account due to an Unforeseeable Emergency; provided, however, that the withdrawal shall not exceed the amount reasonably needed to satisfy the need created by the Unforeseeable Emergency.

  • Developer Compensation for Emergency Services If, during an Emergency State, the Developer provides services at the request or direction of the NYISO or Connecting Transmission Owner, the Developer will be compensated for such services in accordance with the NYISO Services Tariff.
