Christmas or New Year's Off. The holiday schedule shall provide that every employee shall have at least Christmas or New Year's Day off, unless mutually agreed by the parties.
Christmas or New Year's Off. Subject to Clause 17.6 of the Master Agreement, the Employer's designate and the Union's designate at the local level will endeavour to decide which methods will be used to enable the maximum number of employees, as operations permit, to receive at least Christmas Day or the following New Year's Day off.
Christmas or New Year's Off. (a) Applies to both full-time and part-time employees.
(b) The Employer shall endeavour to provide at least five (5) consecutive calendar days off but no less than three (3) consecutive calendar days off at either Christmas or New Year's alternately, unless otherwise arranged in accordance with Article 12.

Time off at Christmas shall include December 24th, 25th, and 26th. The time off at New Year’s shall include December 31st and January 1st. Time off at Christmas and New Year’s will alternate from year to year. Exchanges made between nurses will not be considered in the scheduling of Christmas and New Year’s in the following year. Where staffing permits some nurses to be off both Christmas and New Year’s, the scheduling of both holidays off shall be offered according to seniority among all full-time and part-time nurses. When the Christmas/New Year’s schedule is posted, the Employer will also post a listing of the previous year’s Christmas/New Year’s assignment (not including any switches) for all of the nurses on the schedule. The Home will keep a record of the scheduled vs. traded time off for one (1) year for the purpose of clarification. Where the Employer offers additional unpaid days off or vacation time off on December 24th, 25th, 26th 31st, and January 1st, the Employer will do so on the basis of seniority. For the purpose of this Article only December 25th, December 26th and January 1st shall be considered holidays covered by Article 15.10.
Christmas or New Year's Off. Where operationally feasible, an employee shall be scheduled off on either Christmas Day or New Year’s Day.
Christmas or New Year's Off. The Employer shall arrange for employees to have either Christmas or New Year's Day off. Seniority shall be the deciding factor in the event of a conflict of preference.
Christmas or New Year's Off. To the extent possible, the Employer will schedule Employees off for either Christmas or new years on an alternating basis among the Employees in each classification. Christmas shall include all shifts where the majority of hours of the shift occur on December 25th or December 26th. New Year’s shall include all shifts where the majority of hours of the shift are worked on December 31 and January 1. The Employer shall endeavour to provide two consecutive days off. Where the Employee is scheduled off Christmas, this shall include Christmas Eve or Boxing Day and where the Employee is scheduled off at New Year’s this shall also include New Year’s Eve. In the event of a conflict, the deciding factor shall be which holiday the Employee worked the previous year and seniority shall prevail. If an Employee transfers by posting from one position to another, may affect whether they can be scheduled on an alternating basis in the first year. If the Christmas New Year schedule has been posted, no Employee already scheduled will be displaced from the schedule. Full time Employees may request prior to Christmas, New Year’s schedules whether they wish to work their regular shifts or count the stat holidays as days worked, subject to management’s approval. In the event that an Employee wishes to work both Christmas and New Year’s and there are Employees who wish to have both off, the principle of rotation and seniority shall apply. The scheduling rules in this agreement will not apply over the Christmas/new year period (December 15th – January 5th).

All Nurses shall be entitled to take at least five (5) consecutive days off at either Christmas or New Year's. The Hospital shall endeavour to schedule the time off at Christmas to include December 24th, 25th and 26th. The time off at New Year's shall include December 31st and January 1st.
G-4 In each year, the Hospital shall schedule, with respect to each Nurse, at least two paid holidays in conjunction with the Nurse's weekends off, exclusive of New Year's, Christmas, and Boxing Day.
G-5 Staff normally scheduled to work Monday to Friday (Head Nurse, Employee Health Nurse, Day Hospital Nurse) are to be scheduled off every paid holiday and are not subject to the provisions of Article G-4. G-6 Scheduling regulations F-2(a), (b), F-6 and F-7 (d),
