Student Load. Independent Study Student Load: Maximum instructional load shall be 33 students per full time staff. Adjustments to this load may be made by the program administrator for peak times during the school year after consulting with the affected member, but shall not exceed 35.
Student Load i. It is the goal of the BSC that no full-time high school teachers in Social Studies, Math or Foreign Language shall have an aggregate student load of more than 115 students. If on November 1, such a teacher has a student load in excess of 115, the Headmaster shall make efforts to reduce such load to 115.
Student Load. Student load shall be determined by the appropriate Vice President in consultation with the Department Chairperson/Coordinator and faculty affected.
Student Load. Each student must carry a minimum of four (4) solid courses per year. Solids include math, science, English, history, business and social science. Students shall not register for more than one study hall except by permission of the Superintendent. Seniors will complete an English term paper. Classroom, office, and library aide positions are open only to juniors and seniors.

Participation and Tiered Re-Engagement (Grades 6-12): State law requires tracking of participation, engagement, and academic progress. In collaboration with Blended Learning TOSA, practitioners will play a role supporting the District’s tiered re-engagement strategies including but not limited to: ● Tracking/monitoring students’ participation and engagement in independent study. ○ If concerns related to student attendance arise, notify Independent Study staff. ○ In collaboration with Blended Learning TOSA, track/monitor each student’s weekly synchronous participation and asynchronous assignment completion. ○ Regularly communicate with parents and guardians regarding a student’s engagement and academic progress.
