Sunday and Holiday Work. Section A. The following shall be con sidered holidays: New Year’s Day, Memo rial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. When one of these holidays falls on a Sun day, the holiday shall be celebrated on the Monday immediately following. In a week in which one of the above holidays occur, a regular employee who works his scheduled workday before and his scheduled workday after the holiday will receive eight (8) hours straight time pay in addition to the hours actually worked. Absence during a holiday week caused by illness substanti ated by a doctor’s certificate or absence approved in advance by the Employer, shall not disqualify the employee for holiday pay, provided he has performed some work in the holiday week. Such doctor’s certificate must be presented during the week in which the employee returns to work. Sundays and holidays begin at 12:01 A.M. and end at midnight. EMPLOYEES’ PERSONAL HOLIDAY
