Teacher Initiated Training Sample Clauses

Teacher Initiated Training. ‌ At the discretion of the Appointing Authority, each teacher may be allowed up to one hundred (100) hours each fiscal year without loss of pay for such activities as, but not limited to, workshops, professional conferences, college courses, in-service programs and visitations, all of which are related to the teacher’s current or projected responsibilities and are pre-approved. Application for such release time shall be made at least thirty (30) calendar days in advance and the Appointing Authority shall respond in writing to the application within ten (10) days of its receipt; however, these timelines may be waived by mutual agreement between the teacher and the Appointing Authority. The denial of the application by the Appointing Authority may be appealed by the teacher to a committee comprised of an equal number of management and teacher representatives. The final decision by such committee shall be advisory only. Expense reimbursement shall be at the discretion of the Appointing Authority, in accordance with Article 26, Expense Allowances.

  • First Aid Training In the interests of the occupational safety and health of employees, the Employer will undertake an in-service program of first aid training aimed at providing a first aid officer for each department.

  • Employee Training The Provider shall provide periodic security training to those of its employees who operate or have access to the system. Further, Provider shall provide LEA with contact information of an employee who LEA may contact if there are any security concerns or questions.

  • Training a. The employer, in consultation with the local, shall be responsible for developing and implementing an ongoing harassment and sexual harassment awareness program for all employees. Where a program currently exists and meets the criteria listed in this agreement, such a program shall be deemed to satisfy the provisions of this article. This awareness program shall initially be for all employees and shall be scheduled at least once annually for all new employees to attend.

  • New Teacher Orientation The Association shall have the opportunity to participate in the opening in-service day including speakers for the sole purpose of greeting new faculty members and informing them of the opportunities available to them through joining their professional association.

  • Orientation and Training A transferring employee will be orientated separately to both or their new home in accordance with Article 20 the collective agreement of the designated employer.

  • Safety Training Pursuant to Missouri Revised Statute Section 292.675, Contractors and subcontractors who sign a contract to work on public works projects must provide a 10-hour OSHA construction safety program, or similar program approved by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, to be completed by their on-site employees within sixty (60) days of beginning work on the construction project. Contractors and subcontractors in violation of this provision will forfeit to the public body $2,500 plus $100 a day for each employee who is employed without training. Public bodies and contractors may withhold/assess these penalties from the payment due to those contractors and subcontractors if found to be in non-compliance.
