Temporary Filling of Vacancy. A. Until a qualified applicant is selected, the Assistant Superintendent of Administrative Services and Operations or his/her designee may fill a vacancy on a temporary basis but, if the temporary employee applies for the vacancy, s/he shall not be considered to have greater qualifications than the other applicants. B. When a temporary position(s) is created which is funded through a Federal or State categorical/grant and is posted for one (1) school year only, then that position(s) will not have recall/bumping rights unless that position has been extended beyond one school year. If the position is continued into the next school year, seniority will be retroactive back to the day probation ended during the previous school year.
