Job Bidding and Posting. 14.1 It is the intent of the City and the Union to provide promotional opportunities through the use of a position bidding and a position posting system. It is in the interest of the City and the Union that the City hire for entry level positions - List A positions; thereafter the employee bids for promotions to list B positions, as promotional vacancies occur subject to job required qualifications and seniority. Any disputes as to qualifications shall be subject to the grievance procedure.

Job Bidding and Posting. TIME POSITIONS Whenever the term vacancy is used in this Article it shall only refer to a permanent vacancy in a full-time position with the bargaining unit. Should a vacancy occur or a new job is created and the Company decides to fill that vacancy or new job, the vacancy or new job will be posted for bid within thirty (30) calendar days the date such vacancy occurs or such new job is created. All such vacancies or new jobs shall be posted for a period of seventy-two (72) hours and within said seventy-two (72) hour period all employees on the regular full-time seniority list may bid for such job by making written application. Employees failing to bid on a job within a seventy-two (72) hour period shall be considered as having declined to bid. Bids will be considered on the basis of the applicants’ seniority, experience and ability in relation to the requirements of the job. If the experience and ability of two or more applicants are equal, then seniority shall govern. When an employee’s bid is accepted, he will be given a period of thirty (30) days to qualify on the job and during such period shall receive the rate of pay for the job he held immediately prior to his period. If the employee qualifies for the job and is assigned thereto, he shall receive the rate of pay for such job. If the employee fails to he shall be returned to the job he held immediately prior to his period. In order to maintain continuity of operations, the Company may temporarily assign an employee to a Vacant or new job for a period of up to thirty (30) calendar days. It is expressly understood that the time limitation contained in this Section shall not apply to temporary vacancies caused by illness, injury or other reasons but shall only apply to new jobs and permanent vacancies in full-time positions as defined in this Article. A job shall be considered vacant and open for bidding only in the event the employee holding xxxxxxx has left the job through discharge, quit or permanent transfer or assignment to another job and the Company determines to fill the job. Any new job within the bargaining unit shall be open to bid. The Company agrees to post all jobs in the toll, traffic, classifications for bid annually during the first week of February.

Job Bidding and Posting. (A) The Employer shall post permanent vacancies in bargaining unit jobs on the bulletin board for three (3) working days together with location and title of vacancy. Employees who bid for such jobs shall do so in writing. The Employer shall give fair and reasonable consideration to all such applications. However, the Employer's determination as to the filling of such vacancies shall be final and not subject to the arbitration provisions hereof. Vacancies shall not be filled during the posting period.

A vacancy shall be deemed to have occurred in a job if the employee holding such job has left the same by reason of quitting or permanent transfer to another job or by reason of such employee becoming ill when such illness is expected to extend beyond a period of thirty (30) calendar days, in which case, the job will be posted as a temporary vacancy to be filled in accordance with the terms hereof during the absence of such ill employee from the job. Employees may apply in writing to their supervisors through the Xxxxxxx for such new jobs. When such new jobs are created or such vacancies occur, the following factors shall be considered in selecting the employee to fill such jobs or vacancies:

  • Training and Support Licensor shall offer installation support to the Licensee and each of the Members, including assisting with the implementation of any Licensor software. Licensor will provide appropriate training to Licensee and Member staff relating to the use of the Licensed Materials and any Licensor software. Licensor will offer reasonable levels of continuing support to assist Licensee and Members in use of the Licensed Materials, including providing help files and other appropriate user documentation in connection with the use of and access to Licensed Materials. Licensor will, at a minimum, make its personnel available by email, telephone or via the Web, or in person during Licensor’s regular business hours, Monday through Friday, for training and user access support.
