Temporary Job Reduction. 1. A full-time tenured employee may request for one quarter, two quarters, or for one full academic year, to reduce to less than full-time. The reduction of compensation will be pro rata to the full-time base. Full-time is defined as classroom teaching, advising, committee work, and other contractually required responsibilities. This option is subject to the approval of the Instructional Xxxx, and the appropriate Vice President. Requests for such reduction will normally be made at least two (2) quarters (including Summer quarter) in advance of the reduction.

  • Temporary Layoff The Employer may temporarily layoff an employee for up to ninety (90) days due to an unanticipated loss of funding, revenue shortfall, lack of work, shortage of material or equipment, or other unexpected or unusual reasons. An employee will normally receive seven (7) days notice of a temporary layoff.

  • Temporary Nurse Any nurse who is employed for a specified period of time not to exceed three (3) months, or any nurse who is employed to fill positions because of any combination of leaves of absence, vacations, holidays, and sick leave for a period of time not to exceed six (6) months.
