Temporary Summer Help. The Company may employ temporary summer help from the period April 15 to September 30. They shall be paid the temporary summer help rate as set forth in Article 25 - Wages. Temporary summer help will not be entitled to benefits. These temporary summer help shall be required to pay union dues after thirty (30) days and pay initiation fees after seventy five (75) days of work. Temporary summer help shall not accumulate seniority.

Temporary Summer Help. If the administration determines that additional help is needed for summer grounds and/or maintenance, temporary help hired will not be subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement.
Temporary Summer Help. Temporary, Summer Help employees may be hired at 60% Class One straight-time pay for work performed during a floating 90-day period between May 1 and September 15. The Employer must notify the Union of any hiring of Summer Help on the date of hire. Beginning on the sixth (6th) day of work, Employers will pay regular dues for all temporary Summer Help employees hired to work “inside”. At the end of the 90-day probationary period, the employee becomes a full-time, union employee. There will be no other benefits for Summer Help employees during the 90-day period. The ration of full-time to Summer Help employees “inside” shall be 1-to-1 up to 2 full-time “inside” employees and 3-to-1 where 3 or more full-time “inside” employees.

  • Temporary Roads As necessary to attain stabilization of roadbed and fill slopes of Temporary Roads, Purchaser shall employ such measures as out- sloping, drainage dips, and water-spreading ditches.

Upon surrender for cancellation of any one or more temporary Securities of any series, the Company shall execute and the Trustee shall authenticate and deliver in exchange therefor one or more definitive Securities of the same series, of any authorized denominations and of like tenor and aggregate principal amount. Until so exchanged, the temporary Securities of any series shall in all respects be entitled to the same benefits under this Indenture as definitive Securities of such series and tenor.

  • Temporary Layoffs A. The Employer may initiate a temporary layoff for up to twelve (12) working days per fiscal year. Employees will be given thirty (30) days’ notice before the effective date of a temporary layoff. Employees may request alternative temporary layoff days from their manager or supervisor and any requests will be considered and approved or denied in writing. B. A temporary layoff will not affect an employee’s incremental movement, vacation and sick leave accrual rates, or seniority. C. A temporary layoff is leave without pay. An employee may not use any leave for a temporary layoff day(s).

Without unnecessary delay the Company shall execute and shall furnish definitive Debentures and thereupon any or all temporary Debentures may be surrendered in exchange therefor (without charge to the holders), at the office or agency of the Company designated for the purpose in the Borough of Manhattan, The City of New York, and the Trustee shall authenticate and such office or agency shall deliver in exchange for such temporary Debentures an equal aggregate principal amount of definitive Debentures, unless the Company advises the Trustee to the effect that definitive Debentures need not be executed and furnished until further notice from the Company. Until so exchanged, the temporary Debentures shall be entitled to the same benefits under this Indenture as definitive Debentures authenticated and delivered hereunder.

  • Temporary Assignments When an employee is assigned temporarily by his/her appointing authority to a job for which he/she is qualified in a higher pay grade for a period of five (5) days or his/her regular workweek, whichever is less, the employee shall be paid retroactively from the initial date of the temporary transfer for the duration of the temporary assignment. The employee shall be paid as if he/she had been promoted during such assignment. In no event may an employee acquire any status in a higher classification as a result of his/her temporary assignment. Acting capacity assignments shall not be made on an arbitrary or capricious basis. Employees shall not be rotated in acting capacity in an arbitrary or capricious manner in order to avoid payment of acting capacity pay. This Article shall not be used in lieu of the proper processing of any request for reclassification or reallocation of a position pursuant to the Personnel Rules and the Reclassifications Article, or the filling of a vacancy pursuant to the Personnel Rules and the Seniority Article.
