Three Day Leave. An employee will be granted the day of the funeral off with pay in case of death of: nephew, xxxxx, employee’s aunt, employee’s uncle, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, and first cousin. The three (3) bereavement days must be used consecutively within thirty (30) days of the dearth. If travel out of state with a one-way distance of more than one hundred miles is required, the employee will be granted an additional two (2) days paid leave. One of the two days shall be deducted from the employee’s available sick leave.

Three Day Leave. The Township’s bereavement policy applies to all employees. All employees will be granted a maximum of three (3) days time off with pay in case of death of the employee’s father, mother, grandfather, grandmother, spouse, son, daughter, brother, sister, father-in-law, mother-in-law, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, grandchild, stepchildren, and stepparents (if the stepparent relationship approximates that of a parent). One (1) of the three (3) days must be the day of the funeral. Bereavement leave will be granted for those employees (female and/or male spouse) who experience a spontaneous miscarriage. Leave will be authorized upon receipt of a medical certificate from the employee’s doctor.
Three Day Leave. In the event of death in the employee' s immediate family, i.e., spouse, parent, grandparent, parent of a current spouse, child, brother or sister, or grandchildren, the employee on request will be excused for any of the first three (3) normally scheduled working days immediately following the date of death, provided he attends the funeral.

  • Xxxx Leave For laid off employees, sick leave accruals shall remain on the books and be reinstated if such employees are reappointed.   • Holiday Coinciding with a Day of Vacation Where an employee is on vacation leave and a day of paid holiday falls within that period, the paid holiday shall not count as a day of vacation.

  • Approved Leave of Absence With Pay During Vacation When an employee is qualified for bereavement leave, sick leave or any other approved leave with pay during her vacation period, there shall be no deduction from the vacation credits for such leave. In the case of sick leave, this section shall only apply when the period of illness or injury is in excess of two (2) days and a note from a physician may be required. The period of vacation so displaced shall be taken at a mutually agreed time. An employee intending to claim displaced vacation leave must advise the Employer and provide necessary documentation within seven (7) days of returning to work.
