Time Union Officers. The Employer will grant an employee a leave of absence without pay or benefits to work in an official full-time capacity for the Union, the Canadian Labour Congress or the Ontario Federation of Labour. During this time period, the employee will continue to accrue bargaining unit seniority and advance on the wage grid. Pension plan service shall only accrue if the Employer's contributions are paid by the labour organization. The employee must give the Employer one (1) month notice in writing of such a leave, or of an election that may lead to the need for such a leave and, if operational concerns require it, up to two (2) weeks more notice after the election. No more than one (1) employee may be absent on this leave at any one time.

Time Union Officers. Subject to operational requirements, the Employer will grant an employee who has given the Employer one (1) month notice in writing a leave of absence without pay or benefits of up to one (1) year to work in an official full time capacity for the Union, the CLC or the OFL. Such a leave may be renewed for an additional one (1) year upon one (1) month written notice to the Employer. No more than one (1) employee may be absent on this leave at any one time. Time Union Officers. Upon application by the Union, in writing, the Employer will give reasonable consideration to a request for leave of absence, without pay, to an employee elected or appointed to a full time Union position. It is understood that no more than one employee in the bargaining unit may be on such leave at the same time. Such leave, if granted, shall be for a period of up to two (2) calendar years from the date of appointment, unless extended for a further specific period by agreement of the parties. Seniority and service shall continue to accumulate during such leave. Participation in the Group Benefit and Pension Plan shall be suspended during the period of the leave. Any waiting periods from re-instatement shall be waived.

  • Union Officials 1. The Union will notify the Company in writing of the election, appointment, or removal of Union shop xxxxxxx(s). The District Lodge will notify the Company in writing of the Committee members at that location. 2. In the event of an increase or reduction in the number of such agreements, the parties will meet to discuss and agree upon a proportionate adjustment in the hours allotment. 3. The parties will work with each other in good faith to ensure both that: (1) employees are reasonably represented in grievances and (2) the Company’s operation continues without undue delay. 4. The Union will provide the Company with the names, addresses, and phone numbers of its official Union Representatives. 5. The Company will provide the Union a reasonable amount of time as needed (not to exceed 2 hours) to participate in new-hire orientation for employees covered under this Agreement. 6. If requested by the Union and agreed to by the Company, Local Committeemen may be assigned to the Day Shift and to Saturday and Sunday as regular days off. In the event a significant dispute arises and remains unresolved it may be escalated to the level of AGC and HR at that station and, if not resolved, to the VP of Labor Relations and the President and Directing General Chairman.

  • Union Office Upon application by the Union, in writing, the Hospital will give reasonable consideration to a request for leave of absence, without pay, to an employee elected or appointed to full-time Union office. It is understood that not more than one (1) employee in the bargaining unit may be on such leave at the same time.   • Responsibility of Dual Directors, Officers and/or Employees If any person who is a director, officer or employee of the Adviser is or becomes a Trustee, officer and/or employee of the Fund and acts as such in any business of the Fund pursuant to this Agreement, then such director, officer and/or employee of the Adviser shall be deemed to be acting in such capacity solely for the Fund, and not as a director, officer or employee of the Adviser or under the control or direction of the Adviser, although paid by the Adviser.

  • Other Officers Such other officers as the Board of Directors may choose shall perform such duties and have such powers as from time to time may be assigned to them by the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors may delegate to any other officer of the Corporation the power to choose such other officers and to prescribe their respective duties and powers.

  • Executive Officers To the knowledge of the Company, no executive officer or person nominated to become an executive officer of the Company (a) has been convicted in a criminal proceeding or is a named subject of a pending criminal proceeding (excluding minor traffic violations) or (b) is or has been subject to any judgment or order of, the subject of any pending civil or administrative action by the Securities and Exchange Commission or any self-regulatory organization.

  • DIPLOMATIC AGENTS AND CONSULAR OFFICERS Nothing in this Agreement shall affect the fiscal privileges of diplomatic agents or consular officers under the general rules of international law or under the provisions of special agreements.

  • Senior Management and Boards of Directors 1. Neither Party may require that an enterprise of that Party, that is a covered investment, appoint to senior management positions natural persons of any particular nationality. 2. A Party may require that a majority of the board of directors, or any committee thereof, of an enterprise of that Party that is a covered investment, be of a particular nationality, or resident in the territory of the Party, provided that the requirement does not materially impair the ability of the investor to exercise control over its investment.
