Timely Discipline. Disciplinary action will be taken not later than seven (7) working days from the date that the Company became aware of the occurrence leading to the discipline. However, if an employee who is the subject of a discipline is unavailable for any reason, thereby, making the issuance of the discipline or discharge difficult, then the seven (7) working day time limit is extended until the employee is available and the disciplinary process can be completed. This additional time will not extend beyond the 2nd working day in which the employee became available.
