In accordance with the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) Road and Bridge Specification, Special Provision 105.14, all activities performed under the auspices of a VDOT Land Use Permit involving the installation, maintenance and removal of work zone traffic control devices must have at least one (1) person on-site who, at a minimum, is accredited by VDOT in Basic Work Zone Traffic Control. The accredited person must have their VDOT Work Zone Traffic Control accreditation card in their possession while on-site. A person accredited by VDOT in Intermediate Work Zone Traffic Control must be on-site to provide supervision for adjustment to the approved layout or implementation of any standard Typical Traffic Control (TTC) layouts outlined in the Virginia Work Area Protection Manual. All traffic control plans shall be prepared by a person accredited by VDOT in Advanced Work Zone Traffic Control. All activities that require the disruption (stoppage) of traffic shall utilize VDOT certified flaggers. Flag persons shall be provided in sufficient number and locations as necessary for control and protection of vehicular and pedestrian traffic in accordance with the Virginia Work Area Protection Manual. All flaggers must have their certification card in their possession when performing flagging operations within state maintained right-of-way. Any flag person found not in possession of his/her certification card shall be removed from the flagging site and the district administrator’s designee will suspend all permitted activities. Any VDOT certified flag person found to be performing their duties improperly shall have their certification revoked. The permittee shall be exempt from the requirements of Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) Road and Bridge Specification, Special Provision 105.14 if the authorized activity does not involve the installation, maintenance and removal of work zone traffic control devices and is not within the roadway (as defined in 24VAC30-151) of a state maintained highway. Failure to implement proper traffic control techniques as stipulated by the permit shall be cause for VDOT to order the permittee or their agent off of the state maintained right-of-way and suspend the building movement activities.   • Traffic Control The Surveyor shall control traffic in and near surveying operations adequately to comply with provisions of the latest edition of the Texas Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices – Part VI which can be found on the State’s internet site. In the event field crew personnel must divert traffic or close traveled lanes, a Traffic Control Plan based upon principles outlined in the latest edition of the Texas Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices – Part VI shall be prepared by the Surveyor and approved by the State prior to commencement of field work. A copy of the approved plan shall be in the possession of field crew personnel on the job site at all times and shall be made available to the State’s personnel for inspection upon request.

  • Fire Safety Resident will not tamper with fire alarms, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, fire hoses, or exit signs. Resident will promptly evacuate Residence Facility upon the sounding of an alarm or as otherwise directed by College Housing staff. Resident will participate in any periodic fire drill and fire safety training conducted by College for the Residence Facility.

  • Electrical appliance safety The Hirer shall ensure that any electrical appliances brought by them to the premises and used there shall be safe, in good working order, and used in a safe manner in accordance with the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989. Where a residual circuit breaker is provided the hirer must make use of it in the interests of public safety.

  • Quality control system (i) The Contractor shall establish a quality control mechanism to ensure compliance with the provisions of this Agreement (the “Quality Assurance Plan” or “QAP”). (ii) The Contractor shall, within 30 (thirty) days of the Appointed Date, submit to the Authority’s Engineer its Quality Assurance Plan which shall include the following: (a) organisation, duties and responsibilities, procedures, inspections and documentation; (b) quality control mechanism including sampling and testing of Materials, test frequencies, standards, acceptance criteria, testing facilities, reporting, recording and interpretation of test results, approvals, check list for site activities, and proforma for testing and calibration in accordance with the Specifications for Road and Bridge Works issued by MORTH, relevant IRC specifications and Good Industry Practice; and (c) internal quality audit system. The Authority’s Engineer shall convey its approval to the Contractor within a period of 21 (twenty-one) days of receipt of the QAP stating the modifications, if any, required, and the Contractor shall incorporate those in the QAP to the extent required for conforming with the provisions of this Clause 11.2. (iii) The Contractor shall procure all documents, apparatus and instruments, fuel, consumables, water, electricity, labour, Materials, samples, and qualified personnel as are necessary for examining and testing the Project Assets and workmanship in accordance with the Quality Assurance Plan. (iv) The cost of testing of Construction, Materials and workmanship under this Article 11 shall be borne by the Contractor.

USAC and DSS will process the data matched and any data created by the match under the immediate supervision and control of authorized personnel to protect the confidentiality of the data, so unauthorized persons cannot retrieve any data by computer, remote terminal, or other means. 2. USAC and DSS will strictly limit authorization to these electronic data areas necessary for the authorized user to perform their official duties. Authorized system users will be identified by User ID and password, and individually tracked to safeguard against the unauthorized access and use of the system. System logs of all user actions will be saved, tracked and monitored periodically. 4. USAC will transmit data to DSS via encrypted secure file delivery system. For each request, a response will be sent back to USAC to indicate success or failure of transmission.

  • Accident Prevention Health and Safety Committee The Employer and the Union agree that they mutually desire to maintain standards of safety and health in the Hospital in order to prevent accidents, injury and illness. its responsibilities, under the applicable legislation, the Hospital agrees to accept as a member of its Accident Prevention - Health Safety Committee at least one representative selected or appointed by the Union from amongst bargaining unit employees. Such Committee shall identify potential dangers and hazards, institute means of improving health and safety programs and recommend actions to be taken to improve conditions related to safety and health. The Hospital agrees to co-operate providing necessary information to Committee to its functions. Meetings shall be held every second month or more frequently at the call of--the chair required. The Committee shall maintain minutes of all meetings and make the same available for review. Any representative appointed or selected in accordance with hereof shall serve for a term of one calendar year from the date of appointment, which may be renewed for further periods of one year. Time off for such representative(s) to attend meetings of the Acci- dent Prevention - Health & Safety Committee in accord- ance with the foregoing shall be granted and time so spent attending such meetings shall be deemed to be work time for which the representative(s) shall be paid by the Hospital at his regular or premium rate as may be applicable. The Union agrees to endeavour to obtain the full co-operation of its membership in the observation of all safety rules and practices. Pregnant employees may request to be transferred from their current duties if, in the professional opinion of the employee's physician, the pregnancy may be at risk. If such a transfer is not feasible, the pregnant employee, if she so requests, will be granted an unpaid leave of absence before commencement of the maternity leave referred to in Article Where the Hospital identifies high risk areas where employees are exposed to Hepatitis the Hospital will provide, at no cost to the employees, a Hepatitis B vaccine.

  • Health and Safety Plan Consultant shall prepare and submit a Health and Safety Plan (“HASP”) for the portion of Consultant’s work that will involve field work, assessments, or investigations of certain Project elements. The HASP shall describe how Consultant plans to complete field work, assessments, and/or investigations at the RWF. Consultant’s HASP must comply with the CIP HASP and shall be updated as new conditions are encountered.

  • Trunk Group Architecture and Traffic Routing 5.2.1 The Parties shall jointly establish Access Toll Connecting Trunks between CLEC and CBT by which they will jointly provide Tandem-transported Switched Exchange Access Services to Interexchange Carriers to enable such Interexchange Carriers to originate and terminate traffic from and to CLEC's Customers. 5.2.2 Access Toll Connecting Trunks shall be used solely for the transmission and routing of Exchange Access and non-translated Toll Free traffic (e.g., 800/888) to allow CLEC’s Customers to connect to or be connected to the interexchange trunks of any Interexchange Carrier that is connected to the CBT access Tandem. 5.2.3 The Access Toll Connecting Trunks shall be one-way or two-way trunks, as mutually agreed, connecting an End Office Switch that CLEC utilizes to provide Telephone Exchange Service and Switched Exchange Access Service in the given LATA to an access Tandem Switch CBT utilizes to provide Exchange Access in the LATA.
