Transfers Out of the Bargaining Unit. 20.01 Employees who are or have been appointed or selected for a supervisory position, or for any position not subject to the provisions of this Agreement, will not be covered by the provisions of this Agreement. However, an employee transferred out of a bargaining unit and who is later transferred by the Employer back to a position which is covered by this Agreement will be credited with the seniority the employee had accumulated immediately prior to transfer out of the bargaining unit. If the transfer of an employee back into the bargaining unit necessitates an employee with less seniority being displaced, the employee with the least seniority shall be displaced. 20.02 Employees having been employed only in positions outside the bargaining unit, if subsequently transferred to a bargaining unit position, will be considered new employees for the purpose of seniority.
