Personnel File Review a. A unit member has the right upon his/her own request to review the contents of his/her personnel file. The review will be conducted in the presence of the administrator, or his/her designee, responsible for the safekeeping of such file. The employee may have a committee person assist in said review. Such review shall be conducted at a mutually agreeable time. A copy of requested material will be provided.
Personnel File Review. A teacher shall have the right, upon request, to review the contents of his/her own personnel file, excluding confidential credentials, letters of recommendation, and to have a representative of the Association accompany him/her in such review. The review will be made in the presence of the administrator responsible for the safekeeping of such file.
Personnel File Review. Each Employee may, upon reasonable prior request, review the contents of his/her personnel file as maintained by the Superintendent or his designee, except for his/her college placement credentials. If the Employee wishes, another Employee may be present during the review.
Personnel File Review. 1. Although the Board agrees to protect the confidentiality of personal references and other similar documents, an employee shall have the right to review other contents of their personnel file and to receive a copy of requested items. An employee shall be entitled to have an Association representative accompany them during such review.
2. Material derogatory to an employee shall not be placed in their personnel file unless the employee has an opportunity to review, sign and date said material. Copies of any complaints directed toward a professional employee, which are placed in the personnel file, are to be sent to the professional employee at their residential address, with an additional copy sent to the employee’s principal or supervisor.
3. The professional employee shall have the right to respond to all materials contained in said file. Such professional employee response shall be attached to that material and shall become part of said file.
4. Personnel files of members of the bargaining unit shall be maintained in accordance with Florida Statutes. Employees shall have the right to place written materials in their personnel file that pertain to the employee’s position in the district, such as commendations, or summaries of achievements of noteworthy nature.
5. Employees may make an inquiry with the Community Relations Department to determine if their personnel file has been reviewed under the Florida Public Records Law.
Personnel File Review. Any employee desiring to review his/her personnel file shall make prior arrangements with the Personnel Office to do so. The Superintendent or designee shall be present during the time the employee reviews his/her file. Employees requesting copies of documents from their file may be charged a reasonable fee for the copies, not to exceed the fee established by the district for copies of public documents.
Personnel File Review. Each employee shall have the right at any reasonable time to review the contents of his/her personnel file except for confidential matters as determined by the Superintendent or his/her designee. A representative of the Association at the employee’s request may accompany the employee in this review. The Board or its administrative representative, including building Principals, shall not establish any separate, secret personnel file.
Personnel File Review. Upon request of the employee, an employee may review their personnel file consistent with the Xxxxxxx-Plawicki Act. Such request shall be complied with within five (5) working days. After twenty-four (24) months of satisfactory service, all reprimands shall be removed from an employee's personnel file record. No prior disciplinary action not in the personnel file shall be adversely used in any subsequent disciplinary action.
Personnel File Review. Employees covered by this Agreement will have the right, upon request, to review the contents of their personnel file and to make copies of any documents contained therein. An employee will be entitled to have a representative of the Association accompany him/her during such a review. Once each fiscal year, an employee will have the right to indicate those documents and/or other materials in their file that they/them believes to be irrelevant or otherwise inappropriate for retention. Said documents will be reviewed by the Superintendent of Schools, and if the Superintendent agrees, they will be removed from the file and destroyed.
Personnel File Review. 1. A personnel file will be accurately maintained in the Central Administrative Office for each teacher.
2. Each teacher shall have the right during regular school district office hours to review the contents of his/her personnel file, except references provided to the district on a confidential basis. A representative of the Association, at the teacher's request, may accompany the teacher in this review.
3. The Board or its administrative representative, including building principals, shall not establish any separate personnel file which is not available for the teacher's inspection. Material not maintained or referenced in the central office personnel file shall not provide the basis for discipline against a teacher.
Personnel File Review. 12.01 A teacher shall have the right, within twenty-four (24) hours of his/her request, to view the materials in his/her personnel file with the Superintendent or his/her designee present, exclusive of pre-employment confidential letters of recommendation or references. If an unfavorable statement or notation is in the file, the teacher shall be given an opportunity to attach a statement of rebuttal or explanation to the item in his/her file.
12.02 All documents included in the teacher's file shall be dated and identified as to source.
12.03 The teacher shall be notified when unfavorable material is to be placed in the file.
12.04 The teacher may request and receive at no cost a copy of any or all materials in his/her file.
12.05 The teacher shall have the right to be accompanied by a representative when reviewing his/her file.
12.06 Any complaint made against a certificated person by any parent, pupil, or other person which is entered into the personnel file and/or which may be used in an evaluation of a certificated person shall promptly be called to the attention of the certificated person. The certificated person shall be afforded the opportunity to answer or rebut such complaint in writing.
