Tuition Assistance for Higher Education. A fund shall be established for the purposes of reimbursing employees for tuition related expenses. Reimbursements shall be made for no more than seventy-five percent (75%) of actual tuition costs (books, materials, travel, etc. not included) for completion of classes in an accredited BSN, MSN, PhD, or Certified Developmental Disabilities Nurse curriculum or for tuition. The fund shall be supported by the Employer at a rate not to exceed two hundred and fifty dollars ($250.00) per year per average FTEs in the Bargaining Unit. Unused portions of this fund at the end of a fiscal year shall revert to the Agency; however, the fund shall be supported by the Agency to the extent provided herein for both years of this Agreement. Should the fund be exhausted prior to the end of the fiscal year, the Agency shall not incur any additional liability. An employee receiving reimbursement pursuant to this section agrees to remain an employee of the Agency for at least two (2) years following receipt of the reimbursement. The fund shall be supported by the Employer at a rate not to exceed five hundred ($500.00) per year per average FTEs in each Agency. Unused portions of this fund at the end of a fiscal year shall revert to the Agency; however, the fund shall be supported by the Agency to the extent provided herein for both years of this Agreement. Should the fund be exhausted prior to the end of the fiscal year, the Agency shall not incur any additional liability. An employee receiving reimbursement pursuant to this section agrees to remain an employee of the Agency for at least two (2) years following receipt of the reimbursement. An employee leaving Agency employment prior to the completion of two (2) years shall reimburse the Agency for the pro-rata share of time not worked.

  • Education Assistance The lay-off may be eligible to apply for this option if:

  • Tuition Assistance Bargaining unit employees can enroll in university or college, vocational technical school or extension courses. The course may be by correspondence or attendance at classes during non-working hours or during working hours with approval of the Agency Head and/or his/her Designee. Where practicable, in relation to work requirements, the Employer shall be liberal with the approval of requests for accrued/unused vacation leave, flex-time scheduling, compensatory time, or leave without pay for the purpose of enabling employees to attend classes conducted during an employee's regularly scheduled work hours.

  • TUITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM A. As part of the University policy to encourage staff members to further their formal education, the Tuition Assistance Program for Employees was established. Under the Tuition Assistance plan, qualified Employees will be issued vouchers which will enable them to register without paying tuition. (Incidental fees, however, must be paid by the Employee.)

  • Education & Assistance Fund a. The Employer shall contribute and remit such contributions to the Union’s Education & Assistance Fund as specified in Schedule “A” for each hour worked by each employee covered by this Agreement.

  • In-Service Education The parties recognize the value of in-service both to the employee and the Employer and shall encourage employees to participate in in-service. All employees scheduled by the Employer to attend in-service seminars shall receive regular wages.

  • EDUCATION ASSISTANTS 1. All Education Assistants employed by the Board to assist teachers in carrying out their responsibilities and duties under the School Act and Regulations shall be assigned to classes and/or students by the Principal and shall be assigned specific duties by the teacher during the designated periods of time.

  • Employee Education (A) At the discretion of the Agency Head or designee, the state may allow employees to attend short courses, institutes, and workshops which will improve their performance in their current position, without a loss of pay and benefits.

  • Compensation for Mandatory Assistance City will compensate Contractor for fees incurred for providing Mandatory Assistance. If, however, the fees incurred for the Mandatory Assistance are determined, through resolution of the third party dispute or litigation, or both, to be attributable in whole, or in part, to the acts or omissions of Contractor, its agents, officers, and employees, Contractor shall reimburse City for all fees paid to Contractor, its agents, officers, and employees for Mandatory Assistance.

  • Transition Assistance If this Contract is not renewed at the end of this term, if the Contract is otherwise terminated before project completion, or if particular work on a project is terminated for any reason, Contractor shall provide transition assistance for a reasonable, mutually agreed period of time after the expiration or termination of this Contract or particular work under this Contract. The purpose of this assistance is to allow for the expired or terminated portion of the services to continue without interruption or adverse effect, and to facilitate the orderly transfer of such services to State or its designees. The parties agree that such transition assistance is governed by the terms and conditions of this Contract, except for those terms or conditions that do not reasonably apply to such transition assistance. State shall pay Contractor for any resources utilized in performing such transition assistance at the most current Contract rates. If State terminates a project or this Contract for cause, then State may offset the cost of paying Contractor for the additional resources Contractor utilized in providing transition assistance with any damages State may have sustained as a result of Contractor’s breach.

  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Section 1. The Employer agrees to provide to the Union the statistical and program evaluation information provided to management concerning Employee Assistance Program(s).
