UNION CONVENTIONS AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS. (a) The Employer, upon receipt of written notice from the Union, shall grant leave of absence without pay to not more than one (1) employee who is elected as a delegate to attend union conventions. Written notice shall be given at least seven (7) days prior to the commencement of such leaves.

The Employer, upon receipt of written notice from the Union, shall grant up to five (5) working days leave of absence without pay for up to one (I) employee at any one time, to attend bona fide shop xxxxxxx education programs. Written notice shall be given at least seven (7) days prior to the commencement of such leaves. Collective Agreement between President Hotel The Employer may grant further unpaid leaves of absence to employees for the purpose of attending mutually agreed upon educational programs within the hospitality industry. Written applications for such leave must be received at least seven (7) days prior to the commencement of such leaves. The Employer is entitled to insist that not more than one employee can be absent on such leaves of absence from any one department.
