UNION RECOGNITION AND ROSTER. 2 Section 2.1. The County Council recognizes the Union as representing those regular full-time 3 and regular part-time career service and probationary employees whose job classifications are listed 4 in attached Addendum A (Wages). The County also recognizes the Union as representing those 5 short-term temporary (STT) and term limited temporary (TLT) employees (as opposed to regular 6 employees) whose job classifications are listed in attached Addendum A (Wages), and who meet 7 Washington State Public Employment Relations Commission’s definition of “employee”. 8 STT and TLT employees (defined in Appendix B (Definitions)) however, are covered only by 9 Article 6 (Wage Rates) Sections 6.1, 6.4, and 6.6 and Addendum A (Wages) of this collective 10 bargaining agreement, and any applicable provisions in the CLA specifically covering STT and/or 11 TLT employees. No other provision in this collective bargaining agreement applies to STT or TLT 12 employees; except that Article 6.6 (Education) applies to TLT employees but not to STT employees.

(a) Provincial dues, fees and assessments shall be remitted to the SUN office within fifteen (15) calendar days following the date deductions were made. The Employer shall, when remitting such dues, provide in a single report the members’ names, Facility/Agency work location, status, classification, salary step and regular earnings. A list of newly hired, and terminated Employees shall also accompany the remittance. In addition to the information required above, the support list accompanying the remittance of Union dues shall show a residence address for all newly hired Employee(s). On a quarterly basis, the Employer shall provide the names and addresses of the Employees within the scope of the bargaining unit. (b) Local dues, fees and assessments shall be remitted to the Local within fifteen (15) calendar days following the date deductions were made.   • Recognition and Rights of Stewards The Employer recognizes the Union's right to select stewards to represent employees. The Employer and the Union will agree on the number of stewards, taking into account both operational and geographic considerations. The Union agrees to provide the Employer with a list of the employees designated as stewards. A xxxxxxx shall make every effort to perform the duties of a xxxxxxx outside of normal working hours. If this is not possible, a xxxxxxx, or her alternate, shall obtain the permission of her immediate supervisor before leaving her work to perform her duties as a xxxxxxx. Leave for this purpose shall be without loss of pay. Such permission shall not be unreasonably withheld. On resuming her normal duties, the xxxxxxx shall notify her supervisor. The duties of stewards shall include: (a) investigation of complaints of an urgent nature; (b) investigation of grievances and assisting any employee whom the xxxxxxx represents in presenting a grievance in accordance with the grievance procedure; (c) supervision of ballot boxes and other related functions during ratification votes; (d) carrying out duties within the realm of safety responsibilities, these being recognized as complaints of an urgent nature which require immediate attention; (e) attending meetings called by the Employer.
