Common use of Union Representative Clause in Contracts

Union Representative. The Employer agrees that a Union Representative within the facility may leave assigned duties temporarily in order to discuss matters covered by the grievance provisions or relating to same with Employer and that such Union Representative shall not suffer any loss in pay for the time so spent. Such Union Representative must make suitable arrangements with the Department Head or designate for an appropriate time and location for such discussions.
