Common use of Unpaid Absences Clause in Contracts

Unpaid Absences. Except as where specified in the rules of the Fund, contributions by the Employer in respect of unpaid absences, will be proportional to the wage received by the employee concerned, in a particular pay period. For the purposes of this part, each pay period will stand alone. Accordingly, unpaid absences in one pay period will not carry over to another pay period.
