Unsafe Working. Conditions An employee shall not be required to work in conditions that are in violation of the Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act and any amendments thereto, or any enactments subsequently legislated in Alberta. Employees exercising their right to refuse unsafe work under such legislation will be protected in accordance with the applicable provision. No person shall dismiss or take any other disciplinary action against a worker by reason of that worker acting in compliance with this Act, the regulations, the adopted code or an order given under this Act or the regulation. It is the Employer’s responsibility to provide a clean, healthy work environment. The Union will inform Production of any working conditions that may pose a health or safety risk and the Employer will immediately resolve the issue. If the Union and the Employer cannot agree on a reasonable remedy then an Occupational Health & Safety officer may be called in to offer recommendations. Worksites must have a healthy standard of cleanliness and sanitation in order to address the concern of working with biohazards including, but not limited to: garbage, mold, medical waste, drug paraphernalia, feces and urine. Specifically, crew will not be asked to work in close proximity to used needles and human and animal waste on urban sets as well as animal waste (avian & rodent) on rural sets. Industrial sites must be inspected and scrutinized for any industrial hazards.

  • Unsafe Work (a) An employee may exercise their right to refuse to do unsafe work pursuant to Section 3.12 of the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations outlined in Information Appendix B.

  • Safe Working Environment ACM does everything reasonably possible to provide a safe working environment for all of its stakeholders including Suppliers and its own employees and agents. If a Supplier engages in Offending Behaviour, ACM may suspend or terminate this Milk Supply Agreement.

  • Supervisors Working (a) The work of Supervisors will not include assignment to work normally performed by employees of the bargaining unit except for training or demonstration. “Training or demonstration” shall not be used as a subterfuge for the performing of any bargaining unit work.   • Dirty Work Where an employee and their supervisor agree that work (other than ship repair work) is of an unusually dirty or offensive nature, the employee shall be entitled to 43 cents per hour extra. Where an employee and their supervisor agree that certain ship repair work is of an unusually dirty or offensive nature, the employee shall be entitled to 58 cents per hour extra.

  • Working Environment The Parties agree that a safe and clean working environment is essential in order to carry out work assignments in a satisfactory manner. It will be the Employer's responsibility to ensure that all working areas and Employer-owned vehicles are maintained in a safe and clean condition.

  • Curriculum Work Service on a District curriculum committee shall be required for grade level or department chairpersons. All other teachers working on such committee(s) shall be designated (in writing) by the Curriculum Director and shall be paid, at the hourly rate contained in Schedule B, for all documented hours of committee service (up to such limits as may be imposed by the District) occurring when school is not in session (e.g. during the summer), during duty-free lunch periods or preparation periods, and before/after the teacher’s regularly scheduled work day. Curriculum committee work shall occur at such times as are determined or approved by the Curriculum Director.
